3 jobs 2 machines 1 location
มุมมอง 3359 หลายเดือนก่อน
It's been quite a while since I posted a Video so thank you very much for your patience. Like the title says, this job is 3 jobs in one location for the same customer. A flat repair on a tractor and 2 changeovers on a combine. Hope you all enjoy and thank you again for watching
It's that time...Combine Time
มุมมอง 360ปีที่แล้ว
Flat repair on JD combine. Of course, it's the inside tire. Its more to but my fun also getting to use the truck to its full potential. Thanks for watching and subscribing.

Another road trip video to and from a job in the mountains. Mostly time lapse footage. Thank you for watching and subscribing..
TRIPLE the fun!

This job got postponed a few times over a months time, but today is the day. I look forward to these types of jobs and really enjoy them. A inside flat repair on a tractor with triples. Thank you for watching and subscribing!!
Green machines everywhere!

New tires on a couple tractors for the local dealership. Easy and straightforward job. Just another day on the truck. Thank you for watching and subscribing.
A head scratcher of a problem
มุมมอง 1.2Kปีที่แล้ว
This job turned into a bit of a head scratcher. Repair on a combine tire that has a continual bead leak. Best and only way to fix the problem is installing a inner tube in the tire…. Only if you have the correct tube. Thank you for watching and subscribing.
Sprayer tires are kinda miserable.
มุมมอง 423ปีที่แล้ว
4 new tires on a crop sprayer for a local farmer. Although they are smaller tires I find these to be some of the most challenging to work on. Very small sidewall, not much weight to the tire and a very thick bead bundle.
No Mike Rowe for this Dirty Job
มุมมอง 432ปีที่แล้ว
The conclusion to the scraper saga. Lots of cleaning to be done to the rim and components and final assembly of the front tire. Thank you for watching and subscribing.
Attempts and Fails Part 1
มุมมอง 345ปีที่แล้ว
Part 1 of the scraper job. Initially the job was a flat repair and one changeover. Turned into much more when the spare tire(s) that were to be installed had sidewall injuries. Thank you for watching and subscribing.
We have a tube biter!
มุมมอง 450ปีที่แล้ว
Another flat repair for a local farm. The cut/slice in the shoulder of the tire caused the hole in the tube. When the tire flexes the cut open up and bites the tube. Patch over the cut and reassemble the tire tubeless to help prevent future occurrences. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
Almost full job filmed with nearly no edits.
มุมมอง 363ปีที่แล้ว
This video is almost completely unedited and shows the complete job from start to finish aside from jacking up the tractor and deflating the tire. The job did not take very much time to complete and the flow of it worked quite well so I thought I would leave it as is. Thank you everyone for watching and subscribing
Saving the day one rotate on at a time

Rotate on a fully assembled rim/tire onto a skidder at a logging site. Someone else attempted the job but could not complete the job.
Evil Stepsisters Strike again!
มุมมอง 1.1Kปีที่แล้ว
Back at a local gravel pit again. Same loaders as usual to work on. More tire rotations from one to the other. Much colder this go around. Thank you everyone for watching and subscribing.

Skidder tire struggles and some road trip
What size tire was that?
35.5-32
Is it a 1977 Datsun 210 honey bee!? Ive been searching the internet over and thats my guessed my courts out! Cant wait to find out for sure what it is!!!
Correct year. Wrong make and model. Mazda was a close guess.
I love your videos!!! I first discovered your channel last night after being suggested the tire doctor, and am thoroughly impressed and delighted to have been so. Such cool work you do! Hope you enjoy working on the car!
Thank you very much. Appreciate it very much
Why didn’t you stick with job you was
I still have my job and will post videos from that as well. My thought was to add something different to the channel and hopefully broaden the viewership.
Hey mate how come you didn’t strip it on the hub and take the beadseat band and put it on the other loader? Are the rims three piece? Thanks for your video I’ve been binging them a lot lately 😂 Cheers from Australia
Thanks for the comment and for watching. The rims are 5 piece and all components are extremely heavy. I had installed 2 new tires on one of the two loaders and that little adventure broke 3 of my bead breakers, gave me 6 stitches in my hand and took 16 hrs over 2 days to complete. Remembering how miserable and time consuming that previous job was I decided that unbolting the wheels and rotating them was going to be the most efficient way to complete the job. Cheers
@@mr.manipulator hey that’s fair mate I couldn’t deal with working in the snow 🥶 😂 it’s all desert here. Love the videos too keep them coming it’s a great inspiration to watch 🤟
Love the videos. What set up is that you have for your jack? Never seen that with a remote before. Did that come with the truck?
Thank you very much. That wonderful set up came with the truck. It’s a hydraulic pressure intensifier made by American Eagle accessories (not the clothing).
I know a lot of it is experience, but damn you make it look so easy!
Thanks. As much as I would like to say that everything goes easy someday’s I still get my butt kicked.
I am definitely subscribing after watching a couple of your vids. I have recently exited the family logging biz after 30 years in the woods. I am strongly considering the heavy duty tire business. I have a lot of skidder tire and truck tire experience but not so much on tractors and stuff. There is noone here that does it besides McCarthy Tire, formerly GCR. And they are really slack with it and 8 to 5 only. They stay days behind on skidder tires and stuff like that. I want to be the guy you can call most anytime to get you back rolling be it 18 wheeler, or skidder, or combine, or whatever. I have everything I need at my shop from short and long anvil Ingersoll 2850 one inch impacts, bead breakers, blasters, to a big ol' Prentice knuckleboom loader that I can use if the customer has time to let me run back home with their tire. I even have plenty of either!! LoL... I need to equip a little better to work on location since I can't pull a loader everywhere I go. I am designing a trailer complete with outriggers and a crane, 2 stage compressor, generator, inflation cages and so on, that I can just run and hook to anytime and take off. I have a service truck that has tons of stuff that would never be needed in tire changing that I don't want to have to take everywhere. Its a 3500 and I am planning on taking service bed off and building a flat bed to haul wheels and tires and the trailer would be my rolling workshop that can stay at the shop till I need it. Hoping to learn a lot here, seems like you have it mastered!!
Thank you very much for the sub. Sounds like you have the majority of what you need to get started. There is always a demand for good tire guys that won’t give up on a job and those that will work the longer hours to get the unit back working.
@mr.manipulator I have been the broke one, on the broke down end of things. I know how painful it is and how people will let you down when you are in a bind.
@timberslasher4899 its never good when a machine is done for any amount of time.
You do good work! Most people, even tire guys never understand what a beast those tires are, especially if they are up over 18 ply. Do you ever boot or vulcanize?..... Hooks and spoons can go south in a hurry, I always try to use hydraulics. I am thinking of making some blunted tip attachments for knuckleboom grapples so you can get a little more aggressive. Only thing I do much different is once I get the outer bead on the bottom I let enough machine weight down on it to hold it and then I vise grip the bead up on the side and usually then I can walk it right on with a grapple.... but I say do it however you do it cause that is no place for trial and error if its not your own 4,000 dollar tire....lol. And a lot of time can go by trying new techniques. I have a set of Hurst rescue tools as well that are very helpfull changing anything from 22.5 truck tires up to 35.5 skidder tires, especially if you can get them "caged up" where that you can push on the sidewall with straight ram cylinders. The spreaders make great bead breakers and holders as well.
Thank you. Heavy ply tires can be a tire bar bending fight especially in colder temperatures. I try to repair every tire but sometimes they are beyond repair. I carry some very large patches on the truck so that the customer doesn’t have to spend thousands of dollars on a new tire unless it’s absolutely necessary.
@mr.manipulator I understand. I just wasn't sure what all it took to get set up to boot or vulcanize. GCR has always sent mine off and it takes forever to get them back. Bought a set of Nokian once and they stayed snagged and they were 22 ply. Firestone is hard to beat on a skidder.
@timberslasher4899 you should be able to buy everything you need to patch/boot tires from the same supplier that sells lubricants/valve stems etc. Vulcanizing is a much more in depth process and requires more advanced equipment.
@mr.manipulator I figured because they would boot them there at McCarthy Tire or GCR but when they were sent offvto be vulcanized they were gone a while. We are in the mountains of North Carolina so we ran 24.5×32 on everything, good ground clearance and we have hard ground that narrow tires bite well, so I always had plenty of spares. Except when they used to disappear from the tire store, even our brand new 24.5s and floats for the trucks were pretty bad to go missing there...😡 But like I was saying there are no heavy tire alternatives around here..
Never seen one of those scissor breakers used before, pretty cool
Im glad you got to see it used. The scissor breaker is a very handy tool when working on duals but it can be dangerous also if it kicks out from between the tires.
kicks out as in it gets cock eyed and gets thrown out but the force of the tire?@@mr.manipulator
Yes if it slips on the tire or gets cock eyed.
Hi Clint. I'd like to know why these tires need to be replaced. Maybe you can explain or show the issue in the future, as they look quite new! Thanks in advance. Tom 😎
The tire on the front of the combine had been sent away to get a section repair. A section repair is replacing the cords in the tire and reinforcing it to the original integrity. And the rear tire on the combine needed to be replaced the match the other side. I was told original tire was not repairable so a spare was installed to get harvest completed. In the future I will try and explain the reasoning more.
@@mr.manipulator thank you Clint. I bet it's not only me that wants to know and maybe see the culprit!
I will try my best to show the damages more
You're a hard worker Clint. Good job and thanks for recording.
Thank you!
was wondering where you been, glad to see a video.. i have fought combine tires off without drop center out, its awful but i hate taking them off, dont know why manufacturers cant figure that out...
I’m still here. Just took a while to get a video edited and uploaded. I have fought with a few rims that haven’t had a drop center. Those are always a fight. I don’t know why the manufacturers and engineers can’t seem to figure it out. A simple solution.. have a conversation with a few tire guys
Glad to see another video!!!! hope all is well.
I am doing well. Thank you.
Great video! Really enjoy watching your process. Keep it up!
Thank you! Happy to hear you are enjoying the videos. Thank you for watching
HELLO MR Manupulator , very happy you are be back !!!!!
Thank you!!
What type of levers are these need one set too
They are remote controlled 55 ton hydraulic jack(s).
@@mr.manipulatorunmounting tyre levers I mean 😅
Oh lol. I misread what you said. They are standard tire bars used for commercial truck tires and agriculture tires.
Welcome back bloke good see you back in action Any chance doing tour of your tyre truck one of days Keep posting Keep safe bloke
Thank you! I have been told that my new company truck has been ordered and fingers crossed it will be ready to work in the next 6 months, when I get the new truck I will be doing a truck/tool tour again.
dude I am amazed! idk what we are missing but at my shop its all aboard the struggle bus when it comes to skidder tires
Honestly some days I am riding that same bus haha. Sometimes the tires fall apart and go back together like a hot knife thru butter. And other days it feels like it’s my first day and I am using plastic knives as tire bars.
Bloke how you doing
Doing well. Having some issues with my video editing program so haven’t been able to get any new vids up yet. Think I have it figured out now.
Good afternoon. Tell me how much does the hydraulic clamp that you use when dismantling and installing the tire on the disc cost
The yellow bead breaker is a couple hundred dollars. The truck is a few hundred thousand dollars.
Merry Christmas bloke to one and all have a great time
You are a little early but I’ll take it hahaha Merry Christmas to you as well.
Another good job sir! Keep it up.
Thank you very much!
Hi man. I keep watching your videos and I have to CONGRATULATE you for how you have evolved in your videos. From the first to the last one I saw. Great editing and perfect visual eye. You have talent behind the camera as a cameraman and in front of the camera. As I told you, I have no idea about wheels but the way you make the videos is different from what I have seen on TH-cam👍👍👍👍👍Greetings from Florida.
Thank you very much. I appreciate the very kind words.
glad to see a video, have you had good luck booting a sidewall like that without tubing it?
Yes I have had good luck and success patching sidewalls without installing a tube. Tubeless sidewall repairs tend to be better on heavier ply tires and dual setups due to less flexing of the tire which causes less stress on the patch.
Thanks for the video. I really enjoy watching them.
Thank you for the kind words and for watching.
Great video Keep posting them bloke thanks
Thank you Jon.
Love watching your videos. Not a lot of people post what we do. Keep up the incredible work man!
Thank you very much. I really appreciate it! I agree that there are very few that post about tire work and that is why I started the channel.
How you doing bloke any videos on the way
Doing well. Insanely busy. Haven’t had hardly any spare time for editing but there is more videos coming soon
How far did you drive. ..?
Just over 800 Km to and from the job site.
@@mr.manipulator Very far job. ...
Not my type video bloke Sooner see where the action is Keep posting Keep safe bloke
Yes this one is different and I understand this video might not be for everyone. Thought I would try something different. More of the usual content coming in the future.
Pretty country though! How's the UK doing?
Like Canada very much win the lottery will move there in a flash The UK is just a law less country run by do gooders and people who get off the boats
Still nice though I enjoyed the scenery even and trip through your perspective to and from the job even if it was only a fraction of the glory that it is in person would love to be there myself for sure!
Two blondes are looking at a flat tire. One says to the other, how bad is it? The other says, not bad it's only flat on the bottom. So do we need Mr. Manipulator?
Depends on how big the tire is?
Another big horse repaired bloke Great video thanks for posting Keep safe bloke
Thank you!
👍
Thank you!
I love watching the beautiful scenery at each job site; winter or summer, great videos and fascinating equipment. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! The next video I will have is very scenic. Stay tuned!
always enjoy your vids
Thank you!
What's that orange thing you stuck on the wheel?
That is a remote for my hydraulic jack(s). One of my favorite features of the truck.
Love watching your videos. i learn something practical every time. It's hard to appreciate just how much manual labor is needed, on top of the impressive collection of jacks, hydraulics, bead breaker, bars, and of course the Stellar, just to mount and dismount these tires. Longer videos are fine with me. Thanks again.
Thanks. Yes despite all the fancy tools that do make the job easier there is still quite a bit of grunt work involved. It’s hard not to have longer videos when a short/quick job is 2 hrs.
Nice Video.
Thank you very much!!
Another ball ache of a day bloke Great video thanks keep posting keep safe
Thank you! Just another day and another tractor but a lot less travel for this job.
Hope your employer appreciates how hard of a worker you are! Good job man.
Thank you. Yes he does appreciate it.
This is I would hear about 6000 times a day when I arrived to repair tires....It's only flat on the bottom!.
Or “the valve stem is leaking” when the tire is tubed. Cracks me up every time.
Still hard at it. Good job again!
Thank you!
you are very big !!!! Mister Manupulator !!!!!! you have a stong job !!!!!!
Yes I am quite tall.
glad to see you are still going, hadn't seen you in a while...
The truck hasn’t been very busy over the last 6 weeks so haven’t been able to record many jobs. Looks like its picking up again.
Great video, learn something every time.
Thank you!! Trying to add more info and explain the process more.
Great video again bloke keep posting
Thank you!!
Still called a Fishing Tool ?
Some still refer to it as a tube fishing tool. Most call it a tube chain or tube valve now.
Looks like a tough way to make a living… How did they work on those big tires before the manipulator truck? 2,3,4 man crew?
It can be a tough job. Before I operated the manipulator I would do a lot of the same work but with much aches and pains. It is a very physically demanding job. Quite often it would require 2 people to complete some of the bigger jobs
Use a skider tire hook tire be dismount in 2 minutes
Thank you for the suggestion. Many viewers like yourself have suggested using a bead hook to dismount. I have tried several times and have got my butt kicked every single time I have attempted to use a bead hook. I don’t know why but I have yet to have success trying.
