I know this is wrong, but I personally hate magic circles so to get away from the I chain 4 and when I’m doing the typical stitched that go into the magic circle I crochet around the tail as well so that when it’s done I can pull the tail closing the circle. I know this is not technically correct but my magic circles never are so it’s a perfect fit for me.
