5th Gen Camaro SS stretch belt install
มุมมอง 1798 หลายเดือนก่อน
A/C stretch belt install in 3 minutes or less without any specialty tools. BE SURE TO PUT THE BELT BEHIND THE CRANK PULLEY THEN PUT IT ON THE A/C PULLEY. That is the main trick. Once you start the belt on the crank pulley use one hand to hold the belt into the grooves while rotating the engine over to walk the belt on. Sorry for the crudeness of the video. Was no practice run and I've never put...

It was impossible for me to install my new C300 driveshaft this way. I read Mercedes procedure and EVERYBODY FORGETS to remove the 5 Torx infront of the driveshaft, then remove the 1" thick sleeve and the planetary gear (with the driveshaft receiver plate on it) I Did this and had TONS of Room. Remember to still lower tranny a few inches at back and remove catalytic. Once you are done you will realize it was Easy peasy.
I didn't add a ground strap and this fixed my issue. I took a wire wheel to the bolt threads and removed the paint on the body around the hole. Starts like it should now. Thanks a lot for the fix.
I just did one yesterday and that’s the way I did it still a tough job
Yes it’s a great work and thank you man you are a good mechanic
*Promosm* 🙏
Unreal. Great work
I ended up using a 2-pc set of throttle return springs to DIY my own clutch safety return spring. I used the bigger, shorter spring, which was the strongest. I added extra electric tape just to prevent the spring from rubbing the OBD2 connector wires. You can add insulation if you want; this might be better, since it’ll rest against the spring and reduce vibration and creaking noises (I don’t add grease of anything to the spring).
It was a th400 swap. I made the vid to show the partial reason why the pedal will stick to the floor on these cars.
@@bowhite1293How do people get to the slave cylinder inside the bell housing, to bleed it? It seems impossible without opening up the trans.
I did it with a small ratchet and deep well and extension.
How high of rpm did you run it?
My limiter is at 7500
How is it driving with the 4.10 own the highway? Debating if I should go up from my 3.73 to 4.10 nitrous stall etc. Nice build and clean car..
Any trans except the 6L80 I always go 4.10 Daily driver
So I put an extra ground on my block to chassi and it worked for about 2 mouths and now it’s doing the same thing it did before the ground ?
Up it
its like a CVT now
Actually no I still have 3 gears
Good for you
Pushrod length?
good economy you get 1 MPG...
Actually I could drive about 230-240 miles on the interstate with that setup. About 14mpg.
0 gas mileage lmao
Actually I could drive about 230-240 miles on the interstate with that setup. About 14mpg.
What pistons were used to get to 12:1
SBE is stock block, crank, rods and pistons. Compression was from milled aftermarket heads.
What pistons did you use?
SBE is stock block, crank, rods and pistons. The compression comes from milled aftermarket heads.
How far did you mill them what head gasket thickness
Man... your stall speed is my red light on my truck..lol
6.2 on motor
So just scrape the paint off of the black metal?
what happends in mexico, stays in mexico
are you talking about inside the plastic or where the bolt is
I'm going to try in right now ill let you know

Fly cut the pistons? How did you get it to fit ls3 heads ?
Yes I flycut the pistons for Valve clearance.
Cvt
3 speed
@@bowhite1293 i know but that high stall acts like cvt transmission you can’t feel the shifts
Mine you could depending on how low of rpm you was shifting it. Most of the time it didn't matter on the rpm.
It’s obviously warming up but what that guy asked if you happen to know what rpm the idle is set at got the same specs on my cam as yours, I like the way you’ve got it sounding
What is your exhaust system on this unit
Good video. More people need to watch this. I've run 5-6K converters on the street for 20 years. So many people think you will cook your transmission. They don't understand that at part throttle cruise they don't slip that much.
Im really thinking of this i have an rb26 so 4k+ is needed atleast Any recommendations you’ve seen true it needs a lot of cooling
@@mexicoracing691 No. For normal driving it doesn't generate much heat. I have a small single loop cooler on my transmission in addition to the little cooler in the radiator. My external cooler is one loop measuring 24", that's it. I don't run a huge RV style trans cooler. Not needed.
The TH400 is an automatic transmission right? When you launch you just step on it that’s all?
Yes it's a factory 3 speed automatic that GM produced and used from 1964 to 1990. Granted the 1987-1990 were called 3L80.
What does your transmission temp run at?
Depends on what I'm doing. Under 180 on the interstate. Under 200 in town.
@@bowhite1293 is there anyway I could ask you some questions about swapping my car?

Well done bro
Hey bo, I just built my 416 last month and was wondering, where is your oil pressure at hot idle? And while you are driving do you hear any ticking as RPM INCREASE? My hot oil pressure is like 25 which seems low and I have a ticking noise I hear very slightly at idle but increasing as rpm goes up. Thank you for your feedback
What pump are you running?
Looks like u do gotta get up to 3k before it starts rolling
Actually no it would do 6mph at idle.
What did it make?
This combo made 499/410
That was on pump 93
Do you have a trans temp gauge? Wondering what it gets to...what fluid are you running?
Yes factory temps sensor in the pan. I run John Deere Hy-Gard low viscosity in it with some Type F for color. It averages 180* depending on what I'm doing.
In case you missed it you have a tire low on air!!😝😝
😆 No tire pressure monitors at that time.
Awesome!
I cleaned up all connections at the battery including the ground. Then under the hood I unbolted the positive jump start post and cleaned it up and added a ground on the driver side head. And like others have done I took the ground on the front of the pass side head and moved it right against the head rather then sandwiched between the 2 bolts on the stud. Everything i took off had buildup on it and needed cleaned to make good contact. Now my hot starts sound just as strong as cold starts and fixed my issue. I believe a combination of everything causes the issue rather then just fixing one.
What a coolass
3 speed Camaro? Nice lol
Sheesh!!!!
sounds like a cvt
...and spooled up quick!!!
Video ends at 69. Nice.
69mph?
@@bowhite1293 yes
That's weird. When I watch the vid it never shows that number. On the burnout it goes from 68 to 70 by skipping 69 and once the throttle is released at 72 it decels down to 70 and the vid ends. That's not what it shows when you view it?
@@bowhite1293 on my screen it goes down to 69. Idk, TH-cam can be kinda funky sometimes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I've noticed that happening from different devices and platforms that vids play slightly differently now you say that.
Sweet
Okay I have a cammed 6.2 silverado, and I for the most part understand how converters work, but what would you really need a 6k converter for? How big of a cam and what compression and what motor are you running?
243/255 custom 12:1 compression LS3
@@bowhite1293 Is it a dedicated drag car that is "street legal"?
It's my daily. Car had 155k miles on it when I went with that size cam. It has almost 184k on it now.
Drag racing. You want your converter to flash stall 100-200rpm higher than where you make your peak torque to put you immediately into the power band. My 7.1 liter in my s10 makes peak torque right at 5,000rpm and I have a 5,200 stall converter in it.
turbo 400??
Yes th400 with an 8" 5500 stall
Damn!!!!!! Hell yea brother!!
