A good movie that brings you to a chilling realization that the people closest to you may not be what they seem. A classic that grows on you with more views and the passing of time
I was laughing at this movie too hard.
recently turned 50, still have this on DVD and was planning on re-watching it very soon! - brill movie!
Great movie! 👏👏👏👏👏🇧🇷
I LOVED 😍 THIS MOVIE ‼️‼️ IT WAS TOTAL BADASS 🤺 18 JANUARY 2025 SATURDAY 🪓🥸🖖 THE MAIN SONG WAS OVERLOOKED. And the Celine Dion Copied the SINGING STYLE 🎵 TO A T. NEVER THANKING PATTY LABELL 🎵🎵‼️‼️‼️
Wow, I was thinking about this movie the other day! Haven't seen it in probably 25 years!
@@notyourroad TH-cam must have heard your thoughts and suggested this video! Thanks for watching.
@TheReactionLoungeES it's actually major league baseball that monitors my thoughts.
I share much of your sentiment. It has several terrible parts, but amidst that it can be a very fun ride. One thing I disagree is the aspect of the location hopping. I generally like it when films do that, 007 or not, ofc only if it's done "right". One recently bad example was Star Wars 9 TROS, tho maybe that's just a bigger scale with literal planet hopping. Here I rly liked the contrast between warm Cuba and cold Iceland tho, very cool switch of color palettes and feel. Your bit about the cigars was interesting too, unexpected but interesting. 😅
@@M0RR15 Thanks for watching
Is your title insinuating of all of the bad Bond movies, License to Kill is the least worst? They're forgotten for a reason. LOL
Great to see a new face to the TH-cam side of JB :-) And while I used to love the hell out of many of the iconic scenes in TWINE, I broadly agree with your critique. The sawblade helicopter for example truly got too comical. The villains both Renard and Elektra are commonly criticised for their overacting too, so it's not surprising you weren't very fond of them. 90s to 2000s Bond had an odd streak of treacherous women characters, sadly not akin quality before quantity. But I read you are reviewing DAD soon and I don't know if you have already seen it, so a minor spoiler warning: That movie also has one, and that one will blow you away how convincing and stunningly beautiful.
@@ERudiger0815 I have seen all of the 007 films but I am more familiar with some than others. I saw Die Another Day in the theater and maybe once since then. It is absolutely the right time to go back to it. Stay tuned!
This was my first Bond film to see. It has a spot in my heart.
Happy to say Licence to Kill has always been my No.1, followed by Living Daylights, Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, and In Her Majesty's Secret Service completing top 5.
Timothy Dalton deserves more credit for his two 007 films! Thanks for watching!
Didn't know of this and ngl it looks like utter trash. :D Anyway very fun review and perhaps the movie can hold up as a guilty pleasure in the right mood.
Maybe a guilty pleasure movie for those into that sort of thing!
Second half of the film is solid but the first half feels like a tv movie.
@@misterdarwin I see your point. I love the helicopter airplane chase, but the bar fight is a bit corny. Until they get to that Lanin American nation, it seems like watching Miami Vice.
To me, it’s clear that M lets James Bond go to Istmuth in a "Your personal vendetta has nothing to do with the English government! Wink wink" kind of way. This is why he stops everyone from shooting at Bond at the end of the license revoked sequence, why Q goes to Ismuth to help him and why he is reinstated just after the mission. As a political move, it would be bad form for the British to go after Sanchez over the Americans but M still is ok with Bond going on with the mission rogue, which gives him plausible deniability.
I like it. That's a good interpretation of events. That could be part of an unspoken reason why the next M in GoldenEye didn't seem to like Bond that much.
When the Pierce Brosnan Bond movies came out I liked them. Then it changed and I never watched them again. Time for me to rewatch all of them. I do car reviews on my channel but I love movies and see most of the ones that come out here.
I think each Pierce Brosnan Bond film gets just a little worse than the one before. The first one, GoldenEye, is the best of them.
I like License to Kill a lot! I also like the Living Daylights. Thanks for your review.
Thanks for watching!
I‘m certainly with you, always been one of my fav Bonds since I first saw it. Dalton‘s my fav in the role, also has the best villain by Davi and best bond girl too who you didn’t mention.
@@M0RR15 Very true about the "Bond girls" in this movie.
@@TheReactionLoungeES Yes, it's one of the instances where the film has two Bond women and both actresses did well. Esp. Carey Lowell as Pam is #1 in the series for me character-wise. If we were talking beauty and looks it has to go to the back2back films DAD and Casino Royale (no, not Halle Berry).
This is always in my top 5. Gritty and atypical. Dalton was solid.
@@IndiephantomSofaSinema Agree! Thanks for watching
Think you need to rewatch Die Another Day next. It's no way as bad as you seem to remember it. It's even a step up in terms of villains and with its lush environments as settings compared to World is not enough. Anyway Brosnan's era was generally so fun.
@@M0RR15 Stay tuned! A Die Another Day video is coming soon.
@@TheReactionLoungeES subscribed. Looking forward to that 😄
@M0RR15 A video on License to Kill will be up first. Probably next week.
As a massive sonic fan it's awesome to see that someone who hasn't played the games, or even watched the first two movies enjoyed this one!
@@chipsleftwing A good movie is a good novie. I have subsequently watched the other 2 with my kid who is now 100% a Sonic fan. Thanks for watching. -Eric
Ok, I want to see the 90s Lost in Space now, which I avoided for years. Those little spiders reminded me of Runaway, which is an ultra cool Michael Crichton movie with Tom Selleck from the 80s. You guys might have seen it. Love old school action and can re-watch any Seagal/Arnie/Stallone pics from their golden age without question. Oh...I totally forgot about Old Man and I have to get back and finish that one. Costner's Open Range is a brilliant western with a great villain. Most of Walter Hill's stuff is golden, and Last Man Standing and Johnny Handsome are both underrated as hell.
@@IndiephantomSofaSinema Yes!!! Runaway was a GREAT movie. I might have to do a breakdown retro-review of that. I haven't seen it in years. -Eric
@@TheReactionLoungeES Awesome. Gene Simmons has the perfect creep vibes.
Oh man. Dragged Across Concrete was one of my faves, but I agree with most of the other takes here. Never again on those SW prequels. Might watch the Disney Snow White out of morbid curiosity. Not gonna lie. Haha.
Arnie in Sabotage (2014) is pretty good
all the death wish series
I really love the low key humor of the fil/tv discussion. Your channel popped up in my feed recently and I am like how the hell do these guys not have more subs. I totally want a cigar now and whatever the hell you guys are drinking. Happy New Year.
That man in the movie sounds like Uncle Rukus from the The Boondocks😂
Load of shite....cheap looking cheezy. Bad casting.. 💣 💣 💣
@@Tambo81 That is certainly an opinion.
I saying is, when Ray and Gabe in prison, that Australian dude is a main character and he also a villain, he said "You're Fuckin' Wanker!"
Frosty the Snowman best Christmas cartoon
Planes, Trains and Automobiles hands down the funniest movie ever. Yes, technically it's Thanksgiving but I think it qualifies.
Very true!
May be his best
My favorite Hitchcock movie, a remake of Hitchcock's 1940's movie "Saboteur" - also a good movie.
great
I watched dune one. Thinking I hope this is good. Visually great, but this horseshit ‘the one’ storyline bored me, everyone’s miserable, the acting begged actual acting and I could not get invested in any of the characters especially the main one. I felt nothing. 😂
@@Gokhan202 that's how I felt trying to read the book
Maybe you didn't like the first book because its a political/religious plot. Science fiction plays a small part. It's a mental narrative, not everybody likes that I agree. The tech stagnation came from the Butlerian Jihad. I hope you give the books another try.
THIS IS A REALLY GOOD SHOW TO WATCH. EVEN STEVEN KING'S LIKED THE SHOW.
Milton was always intended as the main character, but they focused on Peter to make it more relatable I guess. But it works!
The car is a 1974 Ford Falcon XB.

@@TheReactionLoungeES You're welcome.
I haven’t seen this movie in a long time. I feel like it is time to have a movie marathon. Also, Ryan Reynolds was definitely meant to play Deadpool😂. It doesn’t seem to be your type of movie but I would like to see you react to Klaus. It wasn’t what I expected but I really liked it.
@@TeaGirlMedium0 Ryan Reynolds will be rememberd for Deadpool more than anything else he's ever done. And he's made a lot of great movies too.
Howdy guys, just got recommended the channel via the Reagan review. You both have a nice approach and variety on the channel. I re-watched Joker recently in anticipation of the sequel and it went down quite a bit in my estimation. I paused on watching the sequel, and I know how unpopular it is. I think this movie was a good example of great timing for its release. I kind of think it's weird that two actors have won Oscars for playing Joker. It's kind of just freedom to be weird or nuts and not so much range necessarily required. I will say that Nicholson was still the best overall, but Phoenix had a good crazy laugh.
@@IndiephantomSofaSinema Thanks for watching! We were both so disappointed with the reviews of The Joker 2 that we're skipping it.
@@TheReactionLoungeES yeah that makes good sense. I will watch it out of curiosity, but not in a rush. LOL.
1 and 2 were really great, 3 and 4 were ok. I heard Gibson would direct a new one to tribute Donner. I’m in. Gibson is underrated as a Director and clearly on the Mt Rushmore of the best. Hamlet for those nerds and Payback is great. Gibson rules.🎉
I love the show, but the downside is they only do 8 episodes at about 37 minutes (or so) each, and then its gone for another year! Just when your getting into it, its over until next fall. Wish they could do a regular cadence of these seasons rather than the long dry spell as its hard to get back into the flow after such long delays.
Very awesome show I hope it never ends. Love Sylvester Stallone and the show....GREAT ACTOR!
@@Karen-t7j3o 100%
