I've never tried dots for shading and depth, nice to try a new technique! I think my favourite to use is contour hatching, which one is yours?

Organic forms - Move to sausage like organic forms. 3. Fruit - Draw simple fruit like an apple to practice contours. 4. Cup/mug - Practice perspective ellipses by sketching a household object. 5. Detailed eye - Finish with an eye drawing. These exercises gradually increase in complexity to sharpen observation and technique.
