TH-cam had to have unsubscribed me from you somehow. I’m so glad I found a saved teacher video from you so I could subscribe again! I admire your transition from teacher to sahm. It’s something I wish I could do, but it’s just not feasible for my family at this time. I also admire your dedication to prepping baby food. I tried that with my first, and he hated it. My second seems to hate baby food in general, so I’m going to let her ween herself when she’s ready. But I’m here for the mom content! Again, so glad I could “rediscover” your videos!

My first baby is also 6 months and we also love our public library. They have so many fun events up there too. We go at least once a week!

I think if you would have added your nuts and chocolate chip before you did the second rise, it would have been better incorporated. But I'm no master baker so don't quote me on that.

When I was a special education para professional I used to make the bulletin boards for the classroom. I would go and trace them off like you are doing and the teacher I worked with had paint, pastels and all kinds of things so when our students would leave we would spend the afternoon decorating the the pictures I traced and it was so relaxing, it got to where the other teachers would come to our classroom after the kids would leave and we enjoyed relaxing and decorating the pictures. It was so wonderful and therapeutic. The para professionals started tracing for their classrooms and we would just do this every chance we got. So great for our sanity.

I just had my first baby. He’s 3 months now and he sleeps like a dream! However this last week he also has been up more often at night and random hours when he was on a pretty routine schedule and down to up only once at night. You got this! I too need to be more flexible with my schedule!! 😅

I love getting my classroom ready during the summer, it's the place where I spend the most time in the working day. It brings me joy to set up my room both for the students and for myself. I love your classroom, thank you for bringing us along :)

I created a writing wall, I added each writing piece on top of the last. At the end of the year I added a cover page and sent it home. It was neat to see how much their writing improved from the beginning of the school year and my students parents loved it.

You can also use rubbing alcohol to get sharpie off of dry erase things.

I would like to adapt this for math--Great idea!

I kept student writing in plain file folders. At the end of the year, I gave them the folder to take home.

I teach third grade and I keep my writing samples in a file folder along with all graded work. It’s very similar to what you are doing.

I don’t have a three tiered tray. That’s nice, to have kids categorize their work. Since you have the bins with different colors, you could have them highlight their names with the correct color to help them remember which bin it goes into- and that way it’s easy to see misplaced papers!

Love how you made a lot of your beautiful designs. Goes to show you don’t have to spend a ton of money to have a beautiful classroom. Looking forward to more videos.
