This the problem with Viet Nam - there is a lot of creativity there but they have a history of very shoddy details which this continues - if he had the opportunity to study and really pay attention to stuff I'm sure he would be even more successful...and then soaking it in lacquer to make it look plastic is also common...

I know for him! Its prolly just a drop in the bucket! Yet for me, this is expensive wood in the USA. My design would waste less & be more linear. I would achieve this by employing more joinery.

That is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately there is not much demand for the 1980's look in the USA anymore. It seems everybody here wants that cheap, non-detailed IKEA crap. People now days get bored so easily. Expensive stuff like this cannot so easily be discarded and replace by more updated IKEA crap.

Very beautiful sir. This is exactly what I wanted to see done with flowers and epoxy on a table top. Great craftsmanship. Maybe on the next one you can add flowers incorporated into the legs.

Why do they only make tables? Why not something really creative and original? Also if you’re going to make something, actually take your time and do it the best you can instead of rushing through it and acting like you’re in a race to finish it. Quality over quantity

It's clearly 2 different people, the guy doing the wood turning is not the young boy, he did all the simple stuff that you could train any 20 year old to do. the real skill was the wood turner. Dressed completely differently, and notice how you never see a face shot.

That's some nice work, young man, but I must warn you that when you cut a green log, you need to stack that lumber and place small spacer sticks in between the pieces, so that air can circulate around it. It needs to dry one year for every inch thick it is. For instance, those thick pieces should dry at least two or three years before you attempt to use them. Wet wood will SHRINK and CRACK..and all that hard labor could be wasted by using it wet.. My family had a lumber mill most of my life. I also worked with wood most of my life as well. Look up 'HOW TO STACK AND STICK GREEN LUMBER'. And 'AIR DRYING GREEN LUMBER.'
