Hello, here in 2023. 😊 Curious, did you have the car adapter & use it to charge the batteries? Curious of charge time. What is the best way to store the batteries… ok in that case, or take out of case & place in the solar panel mesh bag & then in cool area? Last, the pack’s flashlight switch… it has to be in the middle to enable USB output. When would I need to use this switch - when using the battery pack to charge my phone/iPad/headphones? THANK YOU.

If you want more juice change the Goal Zero batteries for POWEREX as they are 2700 ma each. Higher capacity batteries equals more charges.

Try the good quality AA Lipo batteries (not the Cheap Chinese Lipo batteries) in this device, they will make a difference.

Yes, you CAN use the USB output with regular alkaline batteries to charge something like a phone (with appropriate cables). No, you obviously can't use this to recharge non-rechargeable, alkaline batteries.

say you're using a smaller pack that only has USB, you should be able to leave the light(s) in the on position and just unplug them from power source (yeah yeah, electronics "don't like that") and get the same result, correct? I'm thinking of using a small solar panel, a small power pack (30-100), and chaining 2 lights together with one being inside my truck tent and the other being right outside the truck tent under my 10x10 canopy. Would be nice to be able to crawl into the tent with light and then just unplug them before falling asleep.

If using with the solar panel, does the panel allow it to keep a continuous charge flowing? I need a power bank for cross country paragliding, and the foldable design for the panel allows me to strap it to my harness and plug into the power bank. One app I use called ‘Flyskyhy’ chews my iPhone 6+ in around 90 minutes. It is a great app that uses satellite navigation to track my flight path, altitude, climb and sink rate, it’s basically about four of five different flying devices in one app, however, the downside is that as mentioned, chews my battery! Any advice from anyone who uses this device with the solar panel? Cheers, any advice much appreciated 👍🏻

You can get an adapter from Goal Zero (called 6mm to USB converter) that allows the unit to run on a usb plug. It is limited to one light per adapter though to make it compatible with with 5v 1 and 2amp output power banks.
