    Our Open Sesame has a loud thud when it closes and connects with the lock. And constantly bang bang bang bang and we can’t open it with our handle when it freaks out - the handle will lock and we have to keep hitting the touch opener on the wall to get it to finally stop. We had high expectations to help open the door. Anyone with a hearing disability where they panic at sounds will not like this. Imagine the sound to this door louder than in this video and like a screen door slamming at impact.

    Sir, I’m sorry to be a pain, but I have an idea, but I’m not an expert or that knowledgeable to come up with what I need. If a caregiver needed to retrieve my chair from another room, and I could write a, “Cheat Sheet”, for them, or perhaps laminate The first few steps; like 1-5, so they could move/drive my chair back to beside my bed, so I’m able to take command and tranfer myself, from my bed to my chair.

    I have a Bruno SRE-3000 that gives a beep whenever I try to move it I paid a company $150 to come to my house and fix it he spent a short while making it beep then told me he didn't know what was wrong, but it could be the circuit board at around a $1000.00. but didn't know for sure if that would fix it. I live in Oklahoma where there is very few repair companies, do you have any suggestions? If I disconnect the sensors one at a time that can go bad through getting dirt or dust will the stairlift work or do all sensors have to be connected?

    • @TheLarryBrown
      @TheLarryBrown 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The sensors are just open/close switches, so disconnecting them is the same as having them "open." You can force them to an "open" state by removing one or both wires. You can force them to a "closed" state by jumping them with an alligator clip test lead, but it's sometimes three wires so you may need the manual (which is not generally available). Those two techniques will allow you to test the switches, however the normal operation of those switches is essential to the operation of the chair, so don't operate the chair with any switch(es) disabled or jumped out other than for immediate testing, just an inch or two of movement. In particular, don't run the chair up against the top of bottom of the rail. Since the switch won't tell the chair to stop, that would be bad.

    We have had the Bruno starlight for my mom for 4 years. It worked great and suddenly now it does not work. It only starts once in a while, not always. We have replaced the batteries just in case, but it still does not start everytime. Do you have any idea why? We cant afford a new one.

    • @InstaCatz
      @InstaCatz ปีที่แล้ว

      @@slaytronic It is probably the copper slips that charge the seat, which are located on the metal track. The question is where they can be purchased. If you figure it out, let me know.

      @Ghostdog1108 ปีที่แล้ว

      Clean the copper contact strips on the back of the rail with a scotch bright pad from top to bottom. Also wipe the front & backsides of the rail with lemon pledge.

    • @InstaCatz
      @InstaCatz ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Ghostdog1108 Ill try to do that, but I think it is rather that they become too thin with use, and do not make contact anymore. So they need to be replaced, but they are not commercially available, unless the companies that sell these have them.

  • @ProgressiveMob
    @ProgressiveMob 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    We added a link to the Quantum fault codes above for your reference. Still, these codes only tell you what the system believes to be the problem. Most of the problems that occur are computer-controlled systems and require dealer intervention. Though, the most common error we see is accidentally bumping the yellow gear release levers on the motors and disengaging the motors from the wheels. You will get a "motor" error when that happens and just need to flip the yellow lever the other direction on each side of the chair.

    I have quantum q6 edge 2.0. the screen cut out and just went blank and now it's not working. What is the cause and how can I fix it. It made a few beeping sounds when she backing up and the screen just went blank it will not come on.

    • @ProgressiveMob
      @ProgressiveMob 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The most likely cause of the screen going blank is that it simply became unplugged from the rear of the chair. If it is plugged in, and you know the batteries are good, you most likely have a bad joystick.

    My Pride Go Go Elite Traveler 3-wheel scooter likes firm smooth surfaces, really struggles in most grass or other soft surfaces. Disassembled, it fits behind the rear seat in my Subaru SUV. Optional 18 AmpHour batteries may be too heavy for some seniors to carry.

    • @ProgressiveMob
      @ProgressiveMob 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have found the same thing, Gary! Firm and smooth surfaces: no problem. Grass, sand, gravel...the Go Go isn't so great. But again, it is very very small and maneuverable, and not necessarily made for the tougher outdoor stuff. For that, I'd recommend looking into a Victory 9 or 10.

    • @photomanwilliams4147
      @photomanwilliams4147 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the same scooter for both my wife, and myself. I think an important factor is how much do you depend on the device. We both have bad knees, but are still able to get around walking for short distances around the house or places such as restaurants, movie theaters requiring walking long distences. Our scooters main use is day trips to amusement parks, shopping malls, or resort areas with handicap features. The scooter with its easy breakdown/reassemble make transportation doable. I do get it, for in home use, or those needing a more stable device, the wheelchair type seems better suited.

    • @ProgressiveMob
      @ProgressiveMob 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@photomanwilliams4147 Excellent points! Scooters, especially the small portable ones, are indeed great for day trips. For really hard use or using all day at home, power chairs are typically built to withstand more abuse, are more maneuverable, and more comfortable to sit in. The big downfall is that most power chairs cannot be disassembled for transport. The ones that can are often good at being transportable, but not so great at being a good power chair! It is a bit of a catch-22.
