Love it very beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much!
Wow
Wow
They're looking quite happy and healthy. Dendrobiums are really hardy for climate.
true, they are very hardy
Gooooooorgeous!💖💖💖
thank you
That’s dendrobium, King Dragon, is adorable.
the king dragon's are soo beaut
Nice collection thanks for sharing
thanks Tonnie
Congrats! blooms are on the way!
Yep, they're coming! I can't wait.
“Old brown (dried up) sheaths can still produce flowers, don"t cut or disturbed them, let them fall off in their own good time, sometimes buds form in these and because they have dried they become hard, you need to keep a eye on these if buds try to grow as they will find it hard to push out of these, a little helping hand will help at this time by carefully pulling apart the dried sheath, be crefull at this point not to pull the sheath apart to far, just enough to let the new buds out. As for the darkness....well in the wild where Catt's grow it does tend to get dark, not having a go at you, just try to think how these grow in the wild and treat your's the same way, this is hard if your climate isn't the same as in the wild so you have to try and make it as close as possible in your situation.” This is from an orchid forum.
thanks, learnt a lot from what you said. I'll do that.
Be patient. Do not squeeze or manipulate the sheath in any way. Some Cattleya orchids are like that. If you remove the dry stuff there is no protection for anything that could develop. I have an orchid that is doing the same thing, this morning I notice that there was something coming up.
noted, my first time growing Catt's so Ill take any advice you can give :)
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful orchid ❤
Looking good! What's the name?
Dendrobium banana royale
Nice to see how you use medium in your plants. How do you water and fertilize your orchids and what temperature do you grow in?
Thanks, I use medium that easiIy available, I try to water every week and fertilize with half the recommended dosage every time I water. The temperature here is on average 80 degrees celsius year round.
Beautiful
Thank you
Pretty!
Thanks
Very beautiful flowers of orchid.
Thanks Edwards
You have a lovely Garden
@@denisesorchidparadise1411 thank you Denise
Really interesting!
Glad you think so!
I'm impressed by the new sheaths on your catts. I don't have much luck with them potted. What's the temperature like in your environment? I notice many of your plants are under trees, although your dens look happy in the sun.
I'm so fortunate with the cats, they are all potted in stone, Its an average of 89 celcius here. The dens do best in full sun just like the mokaras and sun vandas
@@nicholeamair3643 Thanks. I'll have to acclimate more of my dens to full sun.👍
First time watching your channel.Your orchids are beautiful especially ur dendrobiums. I love those bigs dens did you say you purchased at Erwin. Thanks for sharing. Be bless
thanks tonnie yes Irwin
Love your orchids they are beautiful
thank you jazzy :)
What are these orchids growing in? And it looks like they don't like being watered.
I grow them in a mix of charcoal and stone, I water whenever I can, not less than twice a week. Where I am the media dries out quickly so If I water every day lightly they will be fine.
Lovely plants. Doing a good job .
thank you :)
Dont disturb the dendrobium they dont like to be repot too often if it gets too big just put it into an other pot dendrobium roots like to be snug
Ok, will do. thanks for recommedation. Ill have them remain. :)
Lovely

Wow! Thats so floriferous!
Thank you
VERY NICE NICOLE ❤

I used to purchase orchids from Hauserman’s years ago via mail order. They are big in the hybridization of Cattleyas. They had extensive greenhouse damage but never rebuilt. They have a nursery somewhere in Florida, I don’t know if they still own this place. At 16:09, the morning phalaenopsis grew a terminal spike. It will never grow from that area again. Sometimes it will throw a basal keiki.
Yes they do as cattleya’s were the only species they had in flask and so far mine are doing great. I’m glad I got from them. Thanks for info on fl I’ll check it out. Yes also the area did seem smaller than the maps I saw on display of the number of greenhouses they have. I’ve never seen such a terminal spike on a phal 🙂 so interesting…
@@nicholeamair3643 Ok. The nursery in Florida is EFG Orchids.
@@PC-zg3eo thanks 🙏🏾
❤ beautiful
Hello from NC, United States 💓. I have a Tolumnia,Jarik Red Spread. Got her about 3 years ago. She is a beautiful bloomer.
Wonderful, I'm glad she's going 3 years strong, many more to go ...
Sooo pretty! In my favourite colour too 🥰
Thank you! Cheers!
I love how the Phals look. Your Bangkok Sunset doesn’t look too far away from blooming size. I find they don’t grow as fast as the standard vanda. Happy growing!
Very true!
Super 🎉
So pretty ❣️❣️❣️
I’ve never been able to keep Tolumnias alive potted, I usually mount them.
It's extremely hard for me to grow also, I it's mount mine because it's so windy where I am and they dry out fast. stone media watering every 2 weeks works.
Nice repot. I’ve never heard of sawdust being used to pot up orchids but I see how it could work especially with fine rooted plants like Oncidiums.
Its great, my Mom gave me and I thought yeah! I tried them with seedlings (mixed with sphagnum) and so far they are doing well.
Awesome! I have never started orchids from a flask. It should be very rewarding.
It really is! 🙂 so far…
I like mine when they are green, just turning yellow. That one would be nice juiced with some ginger and lime.
So beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
hope no frogs were harmed in the making of this video. Frogs are cute and a very sueful part of nature. Without frogs there would be far more mosquitoes instead.
It will do well.
Beautiful orchids !!!!
Many thanks
Really love how beautiful they are and quite healthy 😊
Thank you
thank you
So beautiful 1st lk done +1🎉 🎉
Thanks @devanshigarden 😀
Thanks @devanshigarden
Have you tried using Epsom salts for the orchids that have had high light exposure? I use 1tsp to 1tbsp per gallon. Oh my! I hope your orchids didn’t get much damage.
thanks, I'll do that as they need something to help with the sun stress and recent stress fr huricane

@@nicholeamair3643 Good luck.
gl with them. new roots and new growth are a good sign. Over time if some don't want to produce new roots you might want to investigate what could be causing them stress. You might be thinking nothing could be causing them stess. you are giving them all they need and I'd agree as I'm sure you are but I have found many causes of stress to my orchids over time despite giving them all they need. Sometimes it can take months to discover the cause. Sometimes you will never figure it out. I will share what has caused my orchids to be stressed above all else in my collection if you are interested: It was bugs. And like I hinted it can take months to spot them sometimes. The most effective way I found with my plants would be to wait till it was completely dark. Then go around with a torch and shine a light on an orchid that you suspect is stressed. You mainly want to investigate the surface of the orchid media. Gently blow on the surface of the substrate and carefully see if anything moves. Sometimes you are looking for things that will be 1/10th the size of an ant. Generally whatever it is, and I have come across all sorts by now, will be most active at night, they hate the light so will start to crawl when disturbed either by the light or by someone blowing on them. I'd keep repeating this step weekly if you do not discover anything either till new roots form or you do discover something. If it helps at all. I'm sure most will be fine but you'd be surprised how many different types of bugs I have discovered with the nightly torch routine that would otherwise go completely unnoticed.
Thank you so much Tommy for this insight, I never thought of it. I will go through with my flashlight... Also, Do you think I could also spray for insects at night? since they are out at that time? @tomfurnby88 Sorry for my delayed response...
@@nicholeamair3643 Hi, you can treat at night sure. But you will probably have to keep re-treating any affected plant. Sadly one treatment is hardly ever enough and when you treat won't make that much difference. Systemic sprays that the plant absorbs and thus poisons the bugs when they chew on the plant are most effective but also harmful to us so always use protective equipment - glasses, gloves. There are lots of different treatment methods. I am not an expert on what works well. Maybe get some advice from a local orchid nursery near you - one that grows orchids, not just sells them so you know what works for them.
I love how you created that mount.
Thanks @PC-zg3eo I'll give an update when I can. Still fixing up from after the hurricane...
@@nicholeamair3643 Best of luck. I’m Jamaican too. We are on hurricane watch here in TX but it seems that it won’t be as bad as predicted.
@@PC-zg3eo I'm happy it wont be a big impact. :)
