The hardest part for me has been explaining to people who have never had depression how it feels to have depression. "Why not just cheer up?" "You know these things will help why not do them" are a few things I've been told before. The only way I can really explain it is it's like playing a video game that you know how to beat, you know the ins and the outs of it and you know how to get past it, but your controller doesn't work. Sometimes the buttons don't respond, sometimes they're reversed. For me, depression isn't about knowing how to get out of it, it's the fight for control and it sucks.

Know how rough it is man, I've had similar experiences with family loss and really dark times, All I can say is just remember folk are hear to listen and help out. Looking forward to seeing the new stuff you produce, not enough British Beardy ramblers I say ^^

Loosing a family member, especially one so close, is never easy. The fact you already suffer from anxiety and depression and, having only recently gone through this, are able to stand up and decide to fix things is a testiment to your true strength of character. Im sure your nan would be so proud of you, hopefully some of the rest of us can take some inspiration on this journey!
