Hello wt_oldsoul, you are going to have a wonderful time onboard ! We did not dress up for the specialty restaurants or activities. We are always in causal like always in Singapore and it’s suppose to be a holiday! We were in slippers and shorts most of the time! Except if you are going for the Rock climbing, iFly or skypad, then you would need shoes. We are both over 120kg (there are weight limits) so we didn’t get to play these. Tips: You may wish to consider skipping Izumi and the hotpot as we both didn’t like it that much. But these are our personal taste preferences. Do bring along some spare cash with you as you may need to tip the genie and the room attendant at the end of your cruise. Hope you have a great time like we did on spectrum!

We paid slightly more than $100 for the Photo Package: All Digital - Internet & More. But that was in Aug 2022. Do look out the occasional promos/offers in the cruise planner so the price varies!

Hi bigbillyz! During our staycation, Equarius hotel only have limited breakfast option and as a set which may not be enough for us. We prefer buffet style where we can eat more! 😅

Hello, we did not encounter or felt any soot while at the balcony. We just feel that the balcony was quiet, kind of dark (except from the lighting from the next room balcony and ours) and it wasn’t that windy at night. Likely because this room was smack right at the rear of the ship.

I won't say EVERY buffet is EXACTLY the same. Some are outdoor smoky open air BBQ styled, some are air-conditioned room serving cooked food, some are hotpot, some are around lobster/crab themed. There are also tim sum buffets. It's up to what you want to eat, the price and the restaurant/coffee-shop ambiance/crowd in my opinion. Who you are eating with also matters !

Hello Christopher. We are quite low maintenance and mostly relaxing all day long ; we did not bother our genie/room attendants at all. I think it depends on your expectations, your duration and their service…… For both our 4 nights trips, we tipped our Genie US$180 upwards, both our room attendants US$100/each upwards.

Hi Angelina, it was a drizzling day during our staycation and we don’t feel too cold/warm at night. If I must choose, it’s slightly towards the warm for me.

Oh. There was some promotion going on when we book on their website sometime after the covid lockdown period. Its a “free upgrade” stated on their website considering the price paying to get this room instead of the cheaper room(s).

The one in the common area/kitchen area when we visit/stay can be opened slightly but not all the way.
