Now a Bomber, Regular Cargo Aircraft Launches 45 Missiles in One Go
In an instant, the 650 US cargo-planes can be turned into bombers. Just by using an incredibly simple, yet very clever system. It requires no modification of the aircraft, no special infrastructure on the ground, and no special training for the crew. In a flash it quadruples the US bomber fleet that now currently has 140 aircraft. In a single sortie, one aircraft can release a huge payload of bombs. As many as the legendary B-52. (Rapid Dragon Bomb)

Behind the coolness of fighter jets taking off from a huge ship that operates in the middle of the ocean, there is a masive, unseen super system. It's no easy task to keep this floating city from turning into a floating island of waste. On an aircraft carrier it takes about 18,000 meals to feed the entire crew of more than 5,000 people every single day. 00:00 Intro 00:39 Inside Aircraft Carrier...
Why Nuclear Submarines and Aircraft Carriers are Much Scarier Than You Think

Aircraft carriers and submarines are the most expensive, sophisticated weapons a nation can possess in its arsenal. Nowadays, navies use both nuclear and conventional propulsion systems for submarines and aircraft carriers, meaning that they use nuclear reactors, or fossil fuel in order to generate power for propulsion and operation of on-board equipment. But why some of the most powerful navie...

*one of our more common meals, was chili mixed with rice, twice a month *One year for thanksgiving they had the really big layout of food, they made a big deal of it. problem was they only have enough for 1000 marines. then next 500 marines that walked in were told, sorry were out of food. we were at Mt Fuji, for an unexpected extended stay, everyone was getting weekend passes except the cooks, after 3 month they all went AWOL, they all were sent to the brig when they came back broke, the whole battalion ate c-rat everyday for the next 3 months 1981

This is one reason the generic saying, " thanks for serving our country" doesn't hold nearly as much weight as it used to years ago when you said it it was because our men were fighting and dying overseas however recently the majority of the service members the majority of the working population is doing. Serving coffee, food, doing laundry, cleaning, cooking, transporting goods from one area to another, 90% of our service people are literally just doing civilian stuff and not putting their lives in danger at all

Did three submarine tours as enlisted and then deep submergence program and sub tender tours as an officer. It's not for everyone, but you meet the smartest and most dedicated ppl in the submarine force, conduct operations you'll never be able to talk about or forget, and meet men you'll be friends with for the rest of your life. Will probably always be the thing I'm most proud of and have unbelievable memories of the accomplishments and hard work that we did

What is never said here is.... 1. Aircraft Carriers rarely stop moving and its even rarer for one to make a port visit due to its size and draft. 2. Ever go shopping over seas? You maybe buying deodorant or rat poison, or maybe its baby formula. I once got a pound of deli luncheon meat, turned out to be mule. Turned out be OK. 3. Things like sundries, shampoo and soap and the like that your used to, you won't find it on the shelves overseas. 4. Finding underwear overseas? First thing you realize after stepping off ship is US Sailors are head and shoulders higher than most of the world, excluding Nordic Nations which are taller than us. That means you will never find clothes that fit, same for shoes. American's feet shape is the result of inbreeding, and having a few Native and Enslaved Ancestors. No those shoes won't 'relax', most of those shoes over there are made quite well with high quality leather and that don't budge. So, yeah... Carriers have some nice stores, small boys have a window and you beg for small things. Frigates pulled into port a lot, well on NATO cruises they do. Saw the world...
