The Tule Elk is a subspecies of Elk found only in California, ranging from grasslands and marshlands of Central Valley to the grassy hills in the coast. Now that the Hernandez Reservoir has been lowered, they can be seen quite frequently on Coalinga Road within the Diablo Mountain Range.

Nope! Just drive due east on Coalinga Road. You can access by taking Highway 25 to the junction of Airline Hwy and Coalinga Road. Lots and lots of Tule Elk at the Reseviour right now!
