Crack Down on Polluting Brick Kiln in Faisalabad 25 July 2024 | Faisalabad One #faisalabad
On July 25, 2024, the Deputy Director of the Environment Protection Department in Faisalabad, Punjab, took action against a brick kiln that was not following the required zigzag technology. The kiln, located on Narwala Road, was ordered to be demolished after the authorities found it was not meeting environmental regulations.
The Deputy Director explained that this action is in line with the orders of the Lahore High Court. The court has said that brick kilns that don't use the eco-friendly zigzag technology must be shut down. This is part of efforts to reduce air pollution and smog in the region, which is often caused by outdated brick manufacturing processes.
The crackdown on the non-compliant brick kiln is an important step to improve air quality and protect public health in Faisalabad and the surrounding areas.
