So my moms car was doing this, i got under there and hit the motor a d it started back up for another day. I got under there and opened it up. The connector for the blower was melted together. I'm having a hard time finding a part number for the wiring for it. The blower motor plug looks fine but the female end attached to the car is melted and needs replaced before trying to replace the actual blower motor. Any help would be awesome man
@@tylersanders8853 good job finding the issue. Search for blower motor pigtail and match it with the one you have. Best of luck and Merry Christmas!

Lots of water or engine coolant was pouring out of that area of my blower motor. Now my heat and ac is not turning on. And my radiator is still full and the over flow tank is at low at somewhat cold temperatures it’s cold here it cooled down for like 30 mins I opened the radiator didn’t seem hot or under any pressure. It was pretty much at full operating temperature
I have a 2014 silverado 1500 5.3l z71 lt. Tick doesn't start till it warms up. Plz help
@@jasonnellis3566 could be lifters or something else. Probably not exhaust leak as that goes away when it warms up
@joyofwrenching cool I had headers installed a year ago. Haven't touched them since. So you think that's a good place to start.
Normally all I do is remove the outer tie rod and the whole assembly swings out and no need to remove brakes
@@MichaelDimaggio-h7x cool! I'll have to try that next time. That sounds really slick. Thanks for the tip! That's keeping the joy in wrenching!
You also need to remove the 3 bolts that hold the ball joint assembly on the lower control arm. Ball joint doesn’t need to come out. Really easy to do. Then remove the outer tie rod and swing out the entire hub and rotor/brake assembly. I use a ratchet strap to hold out of the way.
Great video. Thanks!
you're very welcome, and thanks for the feedback. Keep the joy of wrenching my friend!
where were you when your Hyundai door latch quit on you?
what other cars/trucks in this price range do you think are good reliable vehicles?
how long did the wheel bearings last on your truck? This one is at 180k miles!
what have you had go wrong on an Armada QX80? Has it been a reliable vehicle for you?
Replacing the integrated cat/exhaust manifold assembly on my 07 Titan was a bear of a job. Needed to unbolt the motor mounts and jack up the engine to make space. Cats don't last forever but this design makes replacement more difficult than necessary. But besides that, it was incredibly reliable for 280k hard miles. Still on the road today running and driving brand new
@ScarletKnightmare whoa, what a hassle that must have been. Thanks for the heads up so I know to avoid that job!
@@joyofwrenching yeah unless you bill by the hour definitely skip that job 🤦🏻
what year corvette do you think is the best starter for a restoration project and why?
Nice 🔥🔥
Thanks Honcho! Hope it helped you out
So did giving it a whack under the dash get your fan turning again?
So if you had a tick...what did it end up being on your truck? lifters, exhaust leak...?
It seems everyone has a stealership experience, and I'd love to hear yours! What have you had happen or heard of happening to someone when they took their car in for something small? Did they get a big ugly surprise?
It may be hard to trust a guy dressed up like Bob Ross, but hopefully the proof is in the content! People kept telling me I reminded them of Bob Ross because of my soft spoken, positive way of teaching...What are your thoughts on the Bob Ross angle? Does it add something good, or just take away from the content?
Anytime I can do a job without having to remove a lot of parts the factory says you should, it feels like a win! I'm curious...what oil pressure does your truck run at idle vs highway speed with a good sensor?
what's another "old school" technique you learned that we just don't remember to try these days with all the computer controls on these cars?
what else have you had go bad on these cars? Would you say this is a good motor? Why or why not?
Do you think it is worth it and really saves a lot of money to press these bearings out when you take into account all the tools, time, and dangers associated with that process?
what's the weirdest thing you've found stuck in a tire? Funny answers get bonus points!
These engines are so common, and timing chains seem to go fast, what else have you had issues with on this engine?
what other parts do you check while under these things for maintenance?
what was the hardest part of this process for you? Was this helpful seeing all the details?
How many times have you had to replace your thermostat before getting a good one? What type finally did it?
what might happen if you can't close the sunroof? Funny suggestions appreciated too!
what are some ways you guys have heard to keep mice out of the engine bay? Funny suggestions count double!
Thanks for this
You bet! Hope it helped you out! Thanks for watching and for the feedback.
This is my favorite video on the Internet right now. Thank you. Thanks to you I got this switched out on a 2012 Suburban and saved some money. At about 3:14 there's a picture of the electrical connector - this is where i got stuck - so tight back there and couldn't figure out the way to get this off and mine was connected differently. There was a white clip I had to push up with a longass flathead before i reached to squeeze off the electrical connection. (Some other TH-cam guy said that may be the case) Also the lag bolt worked perfect - crazy. Anyways-great stuff my check engine went off after about 3 days drivin. 🎉
Hey, great news! Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you found this helpful. Keep that joy in wrenching my friend!
Great video, but why not use the long needle nose pliers instead of the cutting ones? It will be way easier and safer
@@Bayboy925 that may be true with a good quality needle nose, but I'm so cheap, the ones I have slip too easy and I find the side cutters get and keep a better bite for that heavy pull
Do you know if a 2016 Tuscan that does not blow hot air on either side, and does not have dual climate controls, has the actuator in the same location? I have ruled out heater core and coolant issues. I beleive it to be be a bad actuator. Thoughts?
@@EricEiselstein I'd get eyeballs down there and look for the actuators, they all look about the same, move the recirc door and see which one moves, then move the air from feet to defrost and see which one moves, then if you switch from heat to cool and the last one doesn't move that's probably the problem one to swap out and check for free movement of its door
@@joyofwrenching It was located on the drivers side under the dash. Tough to get to, but I managed to install a new one today and the temperature adjust is now working properly. Thank you for your help and videos.
