This is very interesting to watch. When Ni-ki was in the ground, Jay was the one who helps de ilanders with the choreography, but when Ni-ki was back to Iland, he could rely on Ni-ki about the choreo since all the proves from part 2 they did together. I think as much all the program was stressful Jay could have some support with Ni-ki. Of course for Ni-ki was also nice since now he is helping somebody he trusted.
