Picked the haystack bourbon up today for $99 in Wisconsin.

Secondary is 400 now

I finally found a bottle of Barrel Strength Rye! I had tried it once and its taken me well over a year to find a bottle in person.

“You’re not going to find it at MSRP” 😂😂😂 I’ve bought all of these within the last 3 months at MSRP, it’s not hard

My brother in law just gifted me this for Christmas and I’m usually not a big rye guy but this stuff is damn good!

Mmmmm….Blantons gold. I was able to get one over the summer. I finally opened it up and was so dang good. Delicious stuff. I would buy another one again. I’m on bottle number 4 for the original Blantons. Cheers you guys

No idea why this is allocated, it was terrible when I tried it. It's basically a $60 moose cork topper.

The high rye 3 grain bourbon is my favorite haystack from this year so far, their ryes are fantastic as well. I have not had the 4 grain yet. Redwood Empire is knocking it out of the park.

I grabbed one for $120 at a store reopening since govt controlled pricing. I should have grabbed 2, but went for a backup Weller 12 .

Really liking the B524. About your comments on ECBP quality control; Have you had B523? That may be their worst quality mis step. Or what about the wide variance among C923 bottles? While they are good, there shouldn't be that much difference for the 'same' batch.

High aged MGP Haystack is a thing of the past soon, according to Jeff in 2022. It's being replaced by these in-house barrels. Glad i backed up a 14 and 15 year, but I'm SO excited to see what RE can do at ~a decade or so.

Never had it, just bought it in CT for $46 incl tax. Can't wait to try it.

I have a way easier time finding the EC batches over new Larceny batches

I have the Rye for this series. Will be opening soon. If you see their BIB bottles (Grizzly Beast or Rocket Top) don’t hesitate. Their cask strength offerings are also excellent. Cheers fellas.

Grabbed a bottle yesterday and tried it. Bought the only bottle they had left today. Not the greatest price at all but I’ll never see it again. It’s amazing. Worth it. It is rather pay less for sure. Hard to let it land in someone else’s hands 🤣🤣🤣

Seems Widow Jane getting bashed a bit on TH-cam. I think maybe due to the price. I think it is pretty good. What do you guys recommend that is equivalent in price and age? You mention Russell 13 but that price gets jacked way higher than this Widow Jane. Love to hear other recommendations. Thanks!

Another Great Veteran owned bourbon is Horse Soldier, especially their Limited Edition 80th D-Day anniversary bottle that they CLS dropped out of an aircraft during the rehearsals for the D-Day jump for the ceremony.

Great review, I have this bottle too and it is really good!!

Got one from my go to store and it is my first DO from 13th colony. It is amazing, and it is easy to drink, but I feel it shines when I add a few drops of water. And yes, the smell fills a room. I am drinking it very slowly and my wife is like”. Oh my God, I can smell that from all the way over here”. Yeah! I go back between the DO and the 15th anniversary and I cannot make my mind which I like the most.

I can typically find these EC and Larceny Batches, anywhere from one to two months after their release, here in the Los Angeles area. I am tempted to go and grab the C924 where I know I can get it right now. 🤔 Sounds like I should!

KC stay in my collection and rotation. 120 proof and Rye are winners. After that it's Old Forrester then Heaven Hill lineup.
