    If you attach the state machine implemented in the last video and replace "0 1 2 3" with "00 01 10 11", this diagram will make more sense.

    Could you create a tutorial on using Hamming encoding/decoding? Specifically using the table to determine parity bits and error detection/correction. I searched for several hours, watching various hardly understandable videos before finding your channel on the Viterbi Algorithm in practice. Thank you.

    why do we give two zero bits at the end ? is it an ending delimiter ? because at the start also the state was 00

      Because the encoder is flushed back to the all-zero state.

    after 01 in the trellis, you put another 01 and 11 in the received codeword, what is that, i thought its only 5 bit, what is the another 2 bit 01 and 11? answ: ah its another input to get 00, so you must put 2 more bits to get 00 back. [ solved ] thank you.
