Thank you for sharing your experience. It surprises me that you didn't realize it was an all cool-toned palette. That was its selling point. All the things you actually like about this are available in all ND midi palettes. You talk as if the palette is the problem - I'm not sure that's the case. Why be frustrated? Just return it. You didnt have an impulse. You tested it multiple times, created (what you thought was a) dupe. How can you blame the marketing, when you went through all you did before you bought it??? It's as if you looked at the ND, and made up a story about what was there. FWIW, i have both palettes and enjoy each of them. They are different, and tecchnically I prefer the ND formula, but I wouldn't do a video trashing either. I hope you make better choices for yourself moving forward.

This is a fabulous concept for a video! I am definitely going to go check out some of these brands that I haven't heard of before. In the last two years, I have really gotten into trying indie brands. Thank you for sharing!

i was going to tell you about the garnier fructis texture spray but it looks like it's been discontinued. the kristin ess dry finish texture spray is 15 so you can compare after you try the one from sephora. i would be interested in hearing if there's a difference.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Merit, I have been really curious about it, but still haven't tried it. I like to apply powder on top so I'm not sure if I'd love it. But when used correctly, maybe I would.

I also love that Hourglass bronzer, and I love the smaller pans. I have one of the ambient lighting unlocked palettes in my panning project and I used it for over a year now, consistently and it doesn't even look like I have touched it. I could get away with buying a small version that would last forever!

I have HUNDREDS of palettes... I'm a bit obsessed with them this year.

I have ADHD and have a HUGE makeup collection--yes, I impulsively shop. I have around 150 eyeshadow palettes and regret nothing 😂 I am currently on a no buy and use my collection as a way to trick my brain into shopping and chase dopamine.

I have a similar sized eyeshadow collection. This year I'm focusing on using what I have--and it's been super fun. This month I've been getting a lot of use out of my ND Retro palette. Thx for sharing your experience. Have a great weekend! :)
