    There is not much on this model sewing machine.. What are the pros and cons of this model and how do you like it? What sewing projects do you use it for? Thank you for this information.

    • @sewoutsidethebox
      @sewoutsidethebox หลายเดือนก่อน

      I like this machine very much. The pros are that it is a very solid machine and heavy for stability but light enough to travel. The cons for me is that it doesn’t come with a free motion foot and the stitches are indicated by a card attached to the machine instead of showing the stitches on the machine. Overall you can’t go wrong for the price but I would also look to some Brother machines and compare the features that you like.

      My son is using this machine a lot for altering his clothes. He likes it but feels like it’s not great for sewing denim if that’s something you’re into.

    thanks so much for video, one confusion for me was cut on fold ment cut on fold so you end up with two peices. question do you hve to put batting on both pieces? what keeps the material from fraying ?

    • @sewoutsidethebox
      @sewoutsidethebox ปีที่แล้ว

      Cut on fold means you fold the fabric and then place the pattern bottom along the fold. Essentially, you have half a pattern but with the folded fabric it creates the whole pattern. The edges do not fray because you will be sewing around the edges and then turning it right side out creating a finished edge. Hope that helps!

      I've heard this also. That's why I don't suggest putting it in the microwave. I think even if you use polyester thread it will be fine for a hot bowl but not sure about the microwave. I'd just hate to give them as a gift and they get messed up somehow.
