Wana buy mine….?
tenho um tamém,muito bom,não troco,parabéns!!!
Nice looking radio, i've always liked the traditional Midland cb's. I have an old Midland 150m in very good condition, made in 1979. It's the American 40 channel AM version.
@@ElliottSpencer-hn9qg my mate had the 150m years ago great radio I had the 7001 with frequency readout that was a really nice radio think it's in my videos

Very nice example of the legendary cobra 148 gtl dx i love the old cobra i had mine on at the start of the week the band went bezerk and it sounded lovely
Thank you not had it long came from a guy who bought it new in the 80s used it a while then boxed it back up, I've no antenna up at home just listening on a magmout
@@m3vwg It looks mint a rare find these days took me a while to find a nice boxed one .Same thing i had sat about a long time got it serviced hooked it up to just a horizontal dipole in the attic works a treat
La piccola grande radio👍
Hello, mine has stopped scanning or searching, for you have any ideas please.
Try a reset if not it could be the keypad that's worn with use the scan and search button get most use
Sweet to hear. Speakers pioneer???? 👍

Ok thanks
For sale
Which mission speakers are they?
Mission DM7 👍
Just bought one of these radios, do you run yours on a lesuire battery? What antenna do you use please?
Just plugged into the cigarette lighter the antenna was a Wilson 5000
Thank you
The S meter wasn't very good. Some good signals there but nothing on the meter. I have a mint one in the box. And i just bought the George 2 to go with it. 73's.
Had a few with the s meter like that either all or nothing then others that were perfect
No rx on mine at all.. Will tx, but no rx Any ideas?
I have the same radio. I just pulled it out of storage and it still powers up.
I still have it,and yes working great, one of the bests
I got it I also have the 8200 I think the 8000. is more sensitive
Very nice radio, use it mainly for VHF UHF. I have the FC 20 ATU thatt since completing the very simple menu modification is now an excellent tuner. Have you considered the 4m txrx modification?
If it's 100 euros it's too good to be true
In have owned a President George in the late nineties and begin 2000. It was a good radio but it is not sold anymore. I now have the President Lincoln II+ and the President MC Kinley which are awesome 10 - 11 - 12 meter band radios! I highly recommend the Lincoln ii+ and the MC Kinley! If you can get a used President GEORGE definitely get it but if you want to get the new President George II then hold on to your money for that!
Hi Paul thinking of buying one do you think it's worth a 100 Euros
Always go back to the old school radios these are probably the best of the bunch
How do I get the full 11 metre bands 555 etc

Nice chinese cb. I have also one... It eat Lincoln at each aspects... Just I do not like knob...
Nice vintage. I get one at my primary school. Today it's still nice... But I get also chinese SS 9900 which eat Lincoln at each aspects... Maybe just VFO set up is better at Lincoln.
I have this radio in 3 different versions, when did the first one come on the market
I had one in 1989, nice radio, so I think they came out late 80's.
I had one when was at primary school... Nice vintage
If ever you want to sell that radio please let me know. Thanks
We don't see these radios around anymore, they were short live the Lincoln 2+ seems to take over that spot
keep your eye open on ebay I just one nib for cheap here the states they come once in blue moon but they do come up
Loving that radio
Nice old radio these.
I have a boxed minter George. A fine radio..
Hi Paul just found your channel nice line up of radios, am running a CRT SS9900 and an FT818nd I am mobile but due to QRM at my home QTH. What antenna you running regards Tony 26TG064.
fantatstic radio73
Hello Paul, what do you mean by your video title?. I have a RCI 2970N3 I purchased about 4 mos ago, great radio, its putting out 385 watts on SSB. The only thing I have noticed with the Ranger and I hear this quite alot is the radios receiver, they are known to have alot of "White Noise". Do you experience that with your radio???
I only use it mobile and as you can see there's no noise at all you'll only pick up the white noise at home or built up areas it's just how it is most radios suffer nowadays with all the broadband and electronic stuff about
Nice video enjoyed watching it what's the frequency range 26 to 29 mhz
It's 24.500 to 30mhz I believe 👍
@@m3vwg thank you
Excellent radio
Sounding very nice on rx paul..
Thank you it's very sensitive
@@m3vwg I have a boxed dynascan at6666 looking to swoop for a ham multitude 2....tnx
i had that thing to, it was very expensive compared to the other cb radios back then when it was new. in my opinion its not worth that much money, an used icom ic718, alinco dx77, kenwood ts50 or alike would be so much better for about that price and its not any more illegal than that. The worst amateurradio is better than the best cb radio. i think peope who buy this "president george", buy it for their nostalgic feelings to their youth in the 90s when this device was new, its like some people would buy classic cars that cost alot despite there are new cars that are so much better.
Wanna sell that Rig mate??
It sold a while ago but thanks for the interest 👍
What antenna are you using?
K40 on a magmout 👍
Max power ssb?
Around 35-40 watts
Beautiful Radio and Mobile too 🙂
Why show all this SSB what has actually happened to what was known as THE MUPPET bands Is that dead or simply just full of what many regard as filthy bucket mouths who simply use profanities & insult others to such a degree that operator ends up going off air usually permantly. Are they still about or is it just SSB users & hams on the airwaves only now. I have seen many of these so called CB videos on TH-cam & NOT A SINGLE ONE has got anything to do with CB as such. Certainly not the way i use to remember it anyway. So, can anyone verify about CB the way it use to be or has that side of it definitely ended permantly!!!! I haven't heard anything on my scanner for quite sometime so, i thought i'd turn it off & has been for quite a very long time. I was thinking of returning to the airwaves at one time. But, it seems i be wasting my time & money on a full set up ( even cheap or secondhand gear). Especially for my area. & it's no good to me as i don't drive anymore. Except others up the wall. So, why do i watch these videos BOREDOM I SUPPOSE!!!! Not that these really are as exciting as they use to be ( well i don't think so anymore). 😒👎🙄
When you see me put the radio on 27.780 that's muppet 19 and 27.940 ch 35
@@m3vwg But you & many others don't use muppet handles why not ? Are you ham ops & if so why bother with a muppet rig As usually muppet operators don't get along with hams ( excuse is bigheaded smart arses).
@@thestig8133 I do I'm spearfish been on cb since the 80s 555 is still cb just better for dxing I passed my ham in the 90s but stuck with cb I prefer it
@@m3vwg I had to give up cb some years ago due to the amount of huge lies & profanities i got. It ended up making me very ill. Like yourself i started with a basic set up in the early 80's & i didn't know it was a AM set that caused severe TV interference But, did eventually get a FM set & got more & more accessories & even a great sidebander But, all got stolen & i couldn't afford to replace any of it for many, many years I was given a few sets but can't test any no power supply to power any up. I was considering just binning them. As for hams i really can't do the test as i am not able to due to certain things i have in my disability. So, i am rather alone from you could say the outside world. I was thinking of resetting up again on the squark box. But, keep backing off. Thinking that i will get all that grief back again once they find out i am back on the air. So, i do hope you understand things better about my situation about going back on. If at all🙄🙄🙄🙄🤔🤔🤔🤔
@@thestig8133 channel 19 now is disgusting you couldn't let kids on cb anymore its all piss heads and idiots swearing and talking about what hf set they'll buy next on benefits day 😂
I have a George and completely forgot how to get it to the free band !. Stupid me!. It only goes from 1 to 40 as of now!. And chance that you can help?.
