I've always liked the right hand shift lever that they had up through some of the Silver Wraith cars in the fifties before autos. I always preferred Mulliner and Hooper bodies over Park Ward and Freestone & Webb coachwork, at least until Hooper got weird in the late fifties. James Young did beautiful work also. I think the wire for speedometer has to pass through (into) the fuel tank, instead on the top of it, if i remember. Gorgeous unit though

I had a 1948 example with the slightly smaller 4.25 Litre engine, in Silver. In 1948 in the UK that was the fastest car you could walk into a showroom and actually buy. 98 MPH and I did it just to prove Bentley wern't lying. They weren't and nothing broke. On the A23 between Gatwick airport and Brighton if your'e interested. Great news she is still on the road today.
