Sorry to miss your live presentation, Neil. I was actual in schools during the timing of your session. Great research Neil. I appreciated how you deeply investigated the building of classroom culture, setting that goal as a shift from traditional teaching. Your explanations of why and how one can communicate the importance of dispositions to students will be very helpful for other educators. I really appreciated how you engaged your students and uncovered their views of schooling and what is important. It's useful to contrast this with what students' think is ideal for their learning vs just doing well in school. I found it interesting how students came to value solving puzzles much more, moving from last on the list to 2nd. I equate this with understanding the role of "challenge" in learning. Ron
