Should Countries Close Their Borders? AI debates nationalism vs. globalism
This debate examines whether countries should close their borders or keep them open. The Nationalist Advocate explains how closed borders enhance security, preserve culture, and protect local economies. The Globalist Advocate argues that open borders foster cooperation, promote diversity, and support global human rights.
The discussion covers four key topics:
Security and Sovereignty: Do borders make nations safer or hinder collaboration?
Culture and Identity: Should nations prioritize their traditions or embrace cultural exchange?
Economics: Do closed borders protect jobs, or does openness drive growth?
Human Rights: Are borders necessary for stability, or do they restrict basic freedoms?
AI advocates present logical arguments for both sides, judged by a panel of AI. This video offers a balanced perspective on one of today’s most important issues.

    Communism nor Socialism were realized entirely if you look at their definitions. Socialism means the means of production are owned by the worker class and this never happened anywhere not even in the Soviet Union (USSR). Communism - Stateless, Classless, Moneyless society in this system everything is eliminated via automation and androids at least 80% of work and industry is automated into oblivion and humans work for 2 hours at most or not at all if they want and leisure time is increased in order to liberate people from repetitive, boring and high risk tasks (EX: uranium extraction) hence by liberating people from these they will get time in order to study and do things in the domains they actually like to take part in and become more creative and create happy healthy families.

    Of course, nothing meaningful was ever said about socialism and capitalism themselves as the modes of production. Neither were properly defined. They were 'discussing' only some things loosely attributed to them, like free market and central planning - both of which can function in either of the systems and aren't even inherently antithetical. Different words have different meanings and exist for a reason. Again, no definitions provided whatsoever. No examples. Morality, sustainability, competition - it's all in the realm of ideology, not economics. As far as economics go, this 'debate' was worthless. Ideologized rambling, nothing more.

    Capitalism is the natural evolution of human economic and social interactions. When you do something so good (making shoes for example), you start a shoe business. When your business is so good while other people have no job, you share the work you're doing with them in exchange for a percentage of their yield. They get a place to work, get the training, etc and get a stream of income from you while expending nothing upfront. Over time, you take more unemployed people in and move to be their manager, now you don't earn from making shoes anymore, your earnings come from giving jobless people a place to work in exchange for the percentage of the yield. Basically, they're all renting a peace of a business from you to work. They need a place to work as much as you need people to rent out to. The socialist advocators say the workers don't need the capitalist, and only the capitalist needs the workers is basically gaslighting and deceive.

    • @Mezoaro
      @Mezoaro 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Capitalism is a specific economic model that has only existed for ~200 years. I would argue socialism is definitely more natural to humans, as we evolved in small communities no one person "owned" anything, it was all shared in common. However I don't think socialism works because people simply don't co-operate. I think it's true that workers really don't need capitalists, the problem with capitalism is exploitation, the capitalist makes order of magnitude more money than the worker even though the worker does all the work. The solution to this would be to unionize, start a worker co-op, boycott exploitative companies, etc. But we know people are never going to co-operate like that. So we compete with each other and don't realize we're being exploited! But also we as workers could just be lost from the beginning due to the landed elite... Sure we could pull ourselves from the bootstraps but what can we really do when there are already big name corporations? How can we expect to beat them? In capitalism it seems like the winners have already been decided and we're too late to the race. The winners (big corporations) were decided decades ago and are protected by the government. If I wanted to start a supermarket chain I'm realistically never defeating walmart or kroger...

    • @Mezoaro
      @Mezoaro 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's not what socialism is at all. Generally, socialism is when the public ownership of the means of production. Say you have a pencil factory. Instead of one guy at the top gobbling all the profits and leaving breadcrumbs for the workers actually working, public ownership is when all the workers (more) equally share the profits. Special emphasis on WORKER. If you're not a worker, in your words "the people not willing to work" are not workers and aren't getting paid anything because, well, they're not working. It also does not mean a doctor will get paid the same as a janitor in a hospital. Instead both of their salaries will increase because, in a for profit hospital, all the money is not just going to the CEO. A doctor could go from making $240k per year to $600k. And that janitor could go from making $30k to $60k a year.

    socialist policies are fluffy nice on paper, and reprehensibly faulty in practice. The simple example is it's absolute lack of morality and understanding when it comes to money and the economy, where they spend wildly, inefficiently and then print money to pay off the deficit. The inflation soars, cost of living soars and the very same persons they claim to aim to help, suffer the most as what little they can save is molested by the inflation and there's very few assets left that people they can invest in to protect the value of their money. Meanwhile rich gobble up all those assets and make money off of them - e.g. On paper their policies take from rich and give to poor - fanciful and like in the movies. In the real world, their policies end up taking from the poor and giving to the rich., which is the privileged few(top 5%). So when they say it benefits all versus only a few, wrong it is the opposite - it ends up benefiting the few and wrecking everyone else.

Like the Cuban embargo that was implemented in the 60s or the reprehensible coup of the democratically elected Guatemalan president in the 50s (who wasn't even socialist, by definition his government was capitalist). And if you looks towards the USSR, it was a major success although not immediately obvious. It went from being the least developed country in Europe to rivaling the U.S in a matter of 2 decades. All while losing the most soldiers in WW2 and fighting U.S intervention (surprise!). In addition the USSR experienced no market crashes like Capitalism does every 20 years or so. You should give them a real chance to explain and dive deeper into the subjects. Also, the use of AIs as judges is kind of pointless; the point of a debate is for everyone observing to make their own minds. Sure, you could have an AI give an analysis on the debate, but what was done in this video doesn't really tell anything.

I also think that "Innovation and Progress" could lend itself to the communism side as well, because of the verbiage used (progress) which lends itself to progressivism/social liberalism. It seems that the topics themselves are biased, so I don't really have much faith in the outcome. Also, you misspelled "Economic Growth" for the first topic. Now that i have watched it, I have the added critique that I simply disagree with the AI judges.
