Thx for your reaction! BON represents bonsai tree, a Japanese botanical art form - you see the pine bonsai tree image it at the beginning of the film, throughout the film and at the end. It’s a metaphor of their work and creative activities and also shows the aspiration of growing mighty and higher. There are a lot of word plays and rhymes with the word ‘bonsai’ in the lyrics. The track contains various traditional Japanese instruments and the MV contains a lot of homage and references to retro and modern Japanese pop culture like anime, video game and comedy. It also uses the famous monolith from the classic SciFi movie Space Odessy and tributes to old school hip pop fashion as well. To me this is the best song and MV of 2024 so far. Incredible performance and creative MV. The song is so addictive and best heard through earphones. 😊

She has several different ways she sings this song. Including a mashup with her own song “Hero”. She’s really showing everything she can do. Playing piano, wide vocal range, strong belting, interesting vibrato, Arabic runs, creative interpretation. She hasn’t sung in French yet. And I hope she performs some of her own songs. Then all that’s left is for her to bring out the violin.

ありがとう。なかなか日本のTVは曲をフルサイズで出来ない時が多いので、最初から最後までカメラワークも良かったし、曲の最後の余韻ダンスまで映して貰えてたので、番組が期間限定で見せてくれたのが有難いです。
