I'm totally amazed by the performance difference between this system and the hobbywing AXE. The low speed control is unmatched by anything I've ever experienced! I'm going to mess with the throttle curve a bit too get it dialed in to my taste. Look for the comparison between this setup in the scx10.3 and the hobbywing axe 550 3300kv system in the gen8! thanks for watching and please like and co...

Treal Hobby SCX10 iii aluminum axle and low speed control
มุมมอง 2.5K4 ปีที่แล้ว
I'm upgrading my front axle housing to the Treal aluminum axle housing. Its very well made and is very good looking!!! Its money well spent for me because I've broken the front axle twice. Plus a little demo of the low speed control this AXE 550 3300KV system has. I personally love the FOC! Please like and comment for more videos like this! Thank you!

TRX-4 Bronco Sunset on New 1.9 Proline BFGoodrich Mud-terrain T/A KM3
Thks for sharing 😊😊😊
How was the noise level with this combo?
It has a little whiney. If you don't like that then I would recommend the hobbywing fusion pro. It's silent and very smooth. I will be getting one for my sons scx10 base camp. It's cheap too.
Is that esc/motor combo loud or annoying? It’s hard to tell from the video. I get really annoyed with whiny setups lol.
Makni nu makno..??🤔
Is this on 3s or 4s? I plan to run 4s on that system in my scx10.3
3s. Don't have any 4s lipos and it's not recommended to run 4s on 3500kv. At the time I bought the motor I couldn't get the 2700kv or I would have and ran it on 4s. I'll try it someday on 4s
@@Ferra3904 yeah I was planning to go for the 2700kv too, thanks for info, its plenty wild on 3s on 3500kv. Have you experienced any heat issues without fans?
@@jannicklunddallarsen5668 I haven't had any heat issues but I don't drive long distances or for long periods of time. Rarely do I use 2 full 2000mah 3s lipo packs.
Great video thanks for sharing hope you have a great Christmas
THANKS A LOT BRO, I HAVE JUST ORDERED THE GLADIATOR AND I HEARD THE MICRO SERVO AINT GOOD SO WATCHED THIS VIDEO AND GOT THE CORRECT PARTS ! EXCELLENT WORK BRO. CHEERS
Can you do the same for the 2 speed servo?
I'm sure you can. I locked my tranny into 1st gear so wouldn't know if it's 100% possible.
New sub right here m8 thanks for the video helped me out
Is that truck lifted or is that how high that body sits
Nice!! Hows the transmission been on that? Some scx10 seen to have loud transmissions or clicky..yours seens good. I qant to do a jeep. Torn between trx4 build or the axial scx10
Ya mine makes no noise at all. Either one you choose is a good choice. I picked the 10.3 because I never had a axial and it was brand new to market so the cool factor was there! I'd get the scx10.3 gladiator if I could do it again! It's better at climbing and I like trucks more
hi, Cool ! 👍😎
Thinking about getting 1 any advice brother great view
Which are you thinking about getting?
3500kv
@@davisbrian2912 I have an brand new 3500kv I can sell you. I love it in my scx10 3. I have the low gear set for the straight axles so it gives me the speed I want while still having really good low speed control from the adjustable throttle curve you can set with the mamba x esc. I just followed John holmes from holmes hobbies TH-cam video on how to set the throttle curve and its perfect!

Can you use the factory TR-4 control arm? Can it be any after market control arm? ....or does it have to be the Hot Racing one?
You can use any mechanism that will connect the servo to the shifting arm. You can use a rod end and a screw if needed as long as it lines up and you set your endpoints on the servos correctly. Yes the stock trx4 servo saver should work for this modification. I used the hot racing servo saver because I had it laying around.
Thanks! There appears to be a shortage of Hot Racing control arms at the moment. This was a major reason why I went with the TRX-4 Bronco over the SCX10 Gladiator. The Bronco hasn’t come in yet, but if I can wrap my head around this fix, I’ll get the Gladiator. Curious as to how this arm is the remedy over the factory SCX10 arm.
@@ramo0901 the stock spektrum micro servo is weak and if the endpoints aren't set properly before use it will fail quickly! I tried to use it and under load when the dig is needed the spektrum isn't strong enough to engage/disengage the dig gear in the transmission. That's why I changed it to the HD power trx4 servo. It now shifts no problem no matter when I choose to engage it! With the longer wheelbase of the scx10 3 gladiator, I think its the better performing truck but the trx4 has the more detailed body. It's ultimately up to your taste because both are great vehicles!!!
Thanks, Jared. Its all new to me, so I appreciate you taking the time to explain. Some research made the servo choice clear. I just don’t understand the choice of using the TR-4 control arm over the original SCX horn. If you could explain that aspect, it would be much appreciated. As far as the choice of vehicles, I’m brand new to RC over the level of “toy”, so I haven’t taken to any of the brand biases I read about. I have an 11 year old with a Hosim 9125 basher and crawling with a partner seems twice the fun, so a short wheelbase TRX-4 and a long wheelbase SCX10 in the same stable seems like good fun. I also own a full-size Jeep Gladiator, so there’s that.
@@ramo0901 the stock servo is a 23 tooth spline gear and that's an oddball sort of compared to the trx4 servo being a common 25 tooth spline gear like the steering servo. The 25 tooth spline is used on almost every rc for the steering servo and that makes the trx4 servo easy to find a servo arm. Plus the stock spektrum servo requires a little plastic adapter piece for their servo horn and it's not a very strong design. Overall the trx4 servo is stronger having a 25 tooth spline gear and easier to find replacement parts at a cheaper cost. If you go with the Axial sxc10 3 gladiator you won't be disappointed!!! The scx10 platform is legendary for a reason and the aftermarket parts support is endless!!!

It was a noticeable increase in power without the baffle! If you jet it a bit bigger then it shouldn't fall up top end. always remember that main jet is 3/4-WOT throttle. if it missed or doesn't have the power expected then jet up. it's more of a play around with it and get a feel for how it acts. experience is best when tuning so get at it and over time you'll get it. I'm not too firmilar with these I just know engines. I'm mostly 2 stroke and I do have a yfz450 I built and I know it was a bitch to get right!
