In preparation of a new tutorial, I was re-visiting some ideas in one of my favorite time signatures: 7/8.
Thought I captured a quick idea just before the summer-break.

Learning a polyrhythm for the very first time can be quite a challenge. Hopefully, this tutorial will help you with your first steps. Let me know how it works out for you! The handpan in this video is a D Kurd built by Root Harmonics.

@@santolify Handpan in general is easy to start with.. but this particular composition is in the category intermediate/advanced..
Not to sound rude, but I genuinely thought 3/2 was a polyrhythm humans were just born with in the pocket already. Who knew

That is nice Michaela, you have a great journey ahead of you 😊. What scale do you have? Patterns are great to start from! Even though this pantam 'just' has 10 notes, there are many possibilities. You can learn a lot from patterns and making your own can be very fulfilling.

@@pantamlab Das ist etwas was ich schon gelernt habe ,aber die mal andere Reihenfolge in Kombi mit anderen Tonfeldern ist immer wieder spannend bei anderen auch zu sehen . Habe auf jeden Fall ein Abo da gelassen . Ja Freude beim spielen ist immer da ,dankeschön 😄👌🙏🤝
