I thought they got rid of it and replaced it with a Carp, although the CARP might have been withdrawn from service as by the time it arrived there was a new chief fire officer/whatever term they use nowadays who hated the thing and didn't want it in any stations!

Its funny how incomparable services are even within the UK. Avonmouth has 2 pumping appliances (1 of which a heavy rescue pump) and a heavy rescue tender. The station still responds to regular incidents just like any other station because of the 2 pumps. E.G. they can still mobilise to fires etc. All of Avon's stations respond to 'normal' incidents, however there are a fair few with specialisations.

Yeah very rare to see a blue light jeep over here anywhere, might be an airfield only thing I’m unsure. Not a normal sight I can tell you that for sure. 👋

My thoughts too, if they where on the way back from a shout and using blues and twos and had an accident that would be one hell of a lawsuit and set of paperwork 🙂

The airport police said due to the size and weight and speed, any time they’re on public road they need a blue light escort

@@CymruEmergencyResponder oh very interesting, if you happen to see it again do share some way or another. It makes sense as the airport crew will be there in 5 minutes. Nearest Avon crew would take approx 15 minutes (nearest is RDS blagdon)

I think I might have some footage of the staverton airport fire appliances and possibly raf fairford crews which is nearby responding to a incident on blues and twos!

Ah yes, those dudes just casually day drinking in the middle of a roundabout launching empty beer cans into the crowd. I'm sure they had a lot of respect for the police before this.

@@keithwilliams1243 entirely 0, just going off the local news titles. That group wasn’t so much people with beliefs, but more young yobs that wanted to have a go at people for no reason

@@jimhemsley5472 there’s 2 in the back too, it was a crew of 4. Reason it looks like it’s only 2 is crew sit right up against the back wall and BA is in front of them backing onto the driver and oic. This makes it hard to see them from the outside

@@georgedawson7895 rescue boat will always respond with a SWAR van as it’s got essential kit on board, however the SWAR van can be mobilised on its own
