This was recorded at the Welland Steam and Country Rally, Woodside Farm, Welland in Worcestershire UK. This is usually a 3 day event and has lots going on. Well worth a visit.

Not to worry. Perhaps next time you visit I'll video your arrival.

We were out in the main parking area. We left the airfield after then just when the children were coming out of school.

I will be at Shobdon at about dinner time on Thursday 17th of August. I will be there most of the afternoon. I will be by the windsock in a silver BMW.

I think this is a "new" appliance to them. They used to have a yellow one that was longer than that.

@@rstvproductions8334 they used to have a yellow Scammell Carmichael which they had from new, and a yellow Gloster Saro/Chubb Protector. Then they had a red Reynolds Boughton Barracuda. This is certainly a new appliance. They have also had Unimog and Isuzu RIVs too, but don’t know if they still do.

I thought that but it's something else. I'll see if I can find the report over the next couple of days.

The charity is the Flying Scholarships for Disabled People who has the use of G-BBXW and the charity is in it's 40th year.

I think it was used in Forestry operations so a tighter turning circle was needed which wasn't achieved using standard steering.

What's it like sitting 5 stories from the ground? I remember a documentary on the 747 and they were saying about where the cockpit was in relation to the nose wheel...

The pilot won't care that much seeing what's going to happen to the old girl.

There was. It was very busy out there too. I had a good few hours out.

@@rstvproductions8334 When is like that is good!! Here the airport is busy on Mondays and Thursdays, on the other days the maximum you watch in 1 hour is 3 planes!

Perhaps when things are "back to normal" you could visit the Food and Flying Festival.

Technically no... I use an RTL-SDR dongle which you can buy cheap on the internet. A computer is used and acts like the radio.

LHOTA means Light Houses On The Air. The MFJ-462B is a decoder for CW and RTTY. Works a treat on my kit.
