Why should you remove all wear parts, they are part of the rotor when spinning? Ideally, they perfectly balance, yet, many times they are not, and that is the reason for dynamic balancing. I would love to know your reason. Thank you in advance.

I saw someone asking me how to balance the rotor. It seems a lot easier than many people imagining. You would have to make a shaft and frame as the clip above. Then, you have to fit all the wearable parts. Fit the rotor to the shaft and place it on the frame. Rotate the rotor, ideally it would stop anywhere. If it stops at a particular position, meaning the heavier side is at the bottom. Place magnets on the opposite side and rotate. Keep doing until the rotor would stop arbitrarily. Meaning balance is achieved. Mark positions of the magnets on the rotor. Weight the magnets and cut iron pieces equivalent weight then weld them to the position of the magnets you marked on the rotor earlier. Lastly, try to spin the rotor a little quicker to see if the whole thing shake, if it does, you have not balanced it! I attached a pulley to the shaft and use a variable speed motor to rotate the rotor. Normally, once you balance, it will not shake. 1-2 degree is acceptable. I use a smart phone to measure this. Any accelerormeter app should do. You should be surprised to learn how NOT difficult it can be!

@@219cafe I under your description much better, I think what messes up my understanding of the videos is that he does not mention that after removing the old balancing weights the rotor is now in its natural state and should stop at the same place every time. After checking all bearings and cleaning the rotor but before removing the old balancing weights it should be marked and checked by spinning the rotor several times and if it then stops in the same place every time does it need to be balanced. (Still, be suspicious on the bearings)

What should we do in case the TDC is in the middle from positions no1 and no2?
