    I had to watch it a bunch of times to figure out exactly what you were doing lol. I think I get it now. Why do you hammer the T50 hub bolts in the beginning? Where would I get those long bolts, like what size are they?

      @@rosco1733 hammer the heads to shock them helps to break the tension as they're prone to being very tight and the T50 torx bits to fit them are considered "a consumable" Long bolts are M10x100 you'll get them from any Hardwear supplier

      @@airthiestheartificer4181 Worked like a charm, thanks! Do you happen to know the torque specs for the front wheel bearing to knuckle bolts and rotor to wheel bearing bolts?

    Couple of questions if I may ? Firstly can I use the spare wheel as the puller? Secondly is your puller just acting on the three longer bolts? Are the 5 you cracked off just to let the disc move if the hub but not fall off ?

      @@nicwestermann4206 any steel wheel will work. Long bolts are into the strut so pulling in against them. The 5 smaller bolts are for the brake disk. If you slacken them so the flange of the head is just clear of the hub, when you pull the wheel onto the hub it. Pushes the disk off the back at the same time. That's why I use a stick on the brake pedal to clamp the disk in the caliper and leave it all in place while I replace the bearing.

    That a great trick which similar to reversing the side of the wheel but we did not see the bearing being removed from the hub!!!!. This was the removing the hub of the bearing not the bearing ... anyway cheers

      @@TRISTANorTRIS just use 5 long bolts if you suspect it's really stuck. And wind them in a bit further to make sure you have a few threads started on the wheel nuts before you start tightening them. It'll pop out fine if you take your time.

    Can I do this to my mk7 transit to convert the wheels from 16"to17"

    • @airthiestheartificer4181
      @airthiestheartificer4181 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This has nothing to do with wheel size. You just need to find wheels with the right stud pattern for a transit.
