I can tell that things have really changed throughout the years as most airlines including United usually provide those upgrade options to their elite members and work their way down. It is usually done with an upgrade list which they have on every flight. Hope this was helpful and considered subscribing to the channel if you have not done so yet. Hi and thank you for your question. There should be no reason why entry to the lounge was denied unless the passes were expired. With the explorer card you do get 2 passes a year but if they are expired then you will not be able to access the lounge. The concierge should have given you a gave you a reason why you were able to get in. Hope this helps and consider subscribing to the channel if you have not already done so. It will mean a lot. This is the reason why you will see the livery the way they are. In order to keep the spirit of both companies they decided to keep the globe on the aircrafts as a remembrance of Continental Airlines and keep the United Airlines name as it is a global brand. But at the end of the day this was a merger of equal. Thanks again and all the best

@sb859..Thank you for your observation! You're correct about the A321 Neo doors. While the main doors are full-size, there are indeed over-wing emergency exits as well. If you enjoy aviation discussions, consider subscribing for more insights and updates on the channel.

@@mmghworldwidetravels6304 The original NEO's did but Airbus offers the Airbus Cabin Flex option so these gives flexible options for doors, how many overing exits and if a mid exit cabin door is fitted. These options dictate the passenger limit. If the aircraft is primarily going to be landing on long runways then brake fans may not be required
