How do I get these things on I just want to know that I just want to know how to get the cars that's it

So I can tow a 28fb airstream with my 1999 civic hatchback?

It's not the "tongue weight" per se that makes the difference, it's the center of mass of trailer+load vs pivot point (center of wheel to road contact). But it's connected to the tongue weight as a consequence, so it's not wrong, just a bit confusing. People might think weighing down the hitch or the towing vehicle being the key. It's not.

I can't tell you how many times I've been told I'm spreading misinformation and putting people's lives at risk when I try to explain to people that WDHs DO NOT CONTROL SWAY THROUGH FRICTION.

I’ve been in a vehicle (Chevy El Camino) with too much tongue weight. Pretty much like the demo except on a steep downhill the front tires got light and the driver showed me he could turn the wheel and not much happened. I’m very happy it was a straight down hill road. I’d never seen the driver (my father) scared in a car, he had driven about everything short of a tank at that point and was pretty hard to upset. We had no trouble rearranging the load afterwards, that kind of fear is very motivating. Be smart, get your loading right before your experience this particular thrill.

I paid $800 for two hitches and expected to last lifetime. Both of them gauge got bad and showing nonsense. Its you a manufacturer should replace to customers for free ands its you who suppose to repair NOT A CUSTOMER.

That trailer is not 3,000 lb on the tongue

Did you install this with the tow ball behind the axle centerline? The rails line up with the wheel wells and you put the ball offset to the rear, opposite of the verbal instruction.

The top of the inside of my hitch receiver is 19" on a 1500 RAM 4x4. The camper I have ordered says that the ball height is 26 in. I assume this is the base of the ball? I just ordered your hitch last night with a 4-in drop/rise and I've read that it is actually 4+3 which is 7-inches of rise, this would put me a 26 inches. Do I actually need a 6-in rise hitch so I have more wiggle room? I have emailed this question also and need an answer quickly to adjust my order. Thank you.

How can you be losing tongues weight? All of the weight is still going through the same tow bar into the receiver, it seems like all that is happening is an introduction of stresses into the system. I’d like to see a rigid body diagram drawn out, because I’m sure the forces from the “spring bars” would cancel

where do we get these trailer models

I still dont get it...does a weight disteibution hitch distributes the tongue weight to both the towing vehicle and back to the trailer? meaning out of for example 1000lbs tongue weight originally i now only have 750lbs tongue weight and 250 go back to trailer? does that mean my vehicle about 20% heavier load? why should i not ever use a weight distribution hitch then?

Pretty, but does not work. Quit after a couple months and only used 3x. Sent in under warranty for repair. Worked twice after return. Great looking hitch, but would rec that you find another great looking hitch.

So the weight doesn't have to actually be "on" the tongue, as long as most of the weight is shifted toward the front? I'm asking because with a straight tongue trailer, you don't have as many options to mount anything on the tongue whereas with an A frame trailer tongue, you could have a cargo rack or Bike racks etc. which would obviously place the weight on the actual tongue as opposed to having the weight in the bed of the trailer in the front.
