    Excellent skills brother! The naked street fighter triple taking the inline 4s to task in the bends. My first bike 2009 street triple r. Wish i never sold it, but i could only get to 215kmh.(Dumb reason)

    Hi Nick! Nice video! May I ask you a question about the Street triple R. I'm planning to buy a Street Triple R 2010 and I was concerned about the breaking system. Is it powerful enough to ride on track? Does it have enough bite? I used to have a SV650s and then bought a Fz8 and I was disappointed with the breaks (not enough bite), so I have always been a bit sceptical of roadsters and I don't want to be disappointed again. I have tried the Daytona 675 2011. Is the Street triple R breaking comparable to the Daytona? Thanks for your help.

    • @nickburke8729
      @nickburke8729 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Steve, I never had any problems with the brakes on the Street Triple, I did eventually change to the Motul racing brake fluid and would run a brake pad that was better suited for higher performance riding. The brake system itself is the same as the early Daytona 675 (Comes stock on the Street Triple R) I loved this bike, for me it was the perfect all rounder 👍

    Is the engine stock? It´s ridiculously quick from 130 - 170 km/h at 1:50 or is it going downhill there?

    • @perfectox
      @perfectox 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a funny thing happening on bikes when you lean them - if you look at the rear wheel from behind you will see that the diameter of the tyre in the middle (contact patch when the bike is straight) is bigger than it is on the edges (contact patch when you are leaning in the corner). As you accelerate and also lean the bike, the rear wheel suddenly has a smaller diamter which causes it to spin faster so the revs are going up a bit faster than usual. ....but...it still is a very fast bike :))

      Samuel Wicks It's all about streamlining to keep the wind drag to a minimum. The lap timer uses the starter button but I never bothered to use it.

    That's just awesome. Given the choice would you prefer the Striple over the Daytona? Seems to me the street R would be an easier bike to ride because of the higher bars with more leverage.

    • @nickburke8729
      @nickburke8729 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +R.Williams Hey thanks for the comment. That is a very hard question given the choice I would have one of each the Daytona for the track and nice flowing corners and use the STR for tight roads etc as you are correct the STR has a lot of leverage making it easy to throw around. But please try both if you get the chance to see what you think

    OH MY GOSH!!!! That is impressive. YOU are impressive sir. You got skills. And I think I know which bike I'm getting next. All I have read on the STR is good. Everyone loves it. It's got something for everyone I think. And I LOVE the way it looks. How did you get trained to ride like that?

    • @nickburke8729
      @nickburke8729 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      dmshanks1 Thanks for the comment and yes I think the STR is such a fantastic bike have owned it for about 4 years now from brand new she has now got just over 40,000 Km's on her and still love every ride. Now as for training I grew up watching WSBK and MotoGP with my father and uncle also raced Go Karts during my teen years so learnt my lines etc from that and got used to high speed. However in saying that some practical rider training can never go a miss and track days are a great place to learn.
