Yamaha is bright one and fender is warm one

Good review of the Yamaha ll6 great sound great shape only one fault to much Rosetta around the sound hole should have stoped with the main inlay it would have looked so much better not a fan of over kill every other appointments are bang on I'm a gitten one may do the replacements of bone on nut and saddle and set it to low action .

I have this guitar and if you enjoy mahogany then this is a good choice for you.

Cd60 is good, but CD60s its amazing... And CD60 all mahogany is too much better

Out of these 3, I prefer the sound of the Yamaha the most.

With ear buds in, the Taylor has a nice drone hum to it over the Yamaha I found. Taylor sounded better to me when lined in. Cheers!

Yamaha doesn’t compare to Taylor. Taylor all day. This wasn’t a fare comparison. IMO

Excellent. What strings would you recommend for a Fender CD60 V3?

I have a Fender CD60 V3. The sound of the Yamaha is beautiful, very bright and open, but to my ears it gets confused when strumming. I prefer the Fender for strumming. I have also a Cort GA that sounds bright and open not less that an entry-level Yamaha.

I have a Fender Cd60 but I also like the sounds of all the others. The Yamaha's sound is wonderfully open, but I prefer it in arpeggios. In strumming its great openness sounds somewhat confused to me. Ibanez, Cort and Epiphone sound more or less warm and emotional, maybe Ibanez reaches the top under this aspect. Anyway, my Fender sounds very differently according with the strings I put on. With Martin strings it is amazing.

Cord sounds like a record - flat and full.

While Yamaha excels at being a solid "everything company" (I have their Revstar and some Yamaha Keyboards) Epiphone excels at just 1 thing - being excellent guitar maker company (it's basically Gibson - but for a quarter the price!) I have a Special II and an 350B by Epiphone / Gibson.

Love the Ibanez, it sounds glassy clear, yet not too bright, not metallic like Yamaha. Yamaha is literally piercing my ear!

I have an old 350B Epiphone Gibson acoustic (yeah, when they still were Gibson) but I have the utmost respect for japanese quality like Ibanez and Yamaha (in fact most of my electrics are Ibanez and Yamaha)

yamaha sounds more wet and acoustic....fender sounds more muffled and bass...i rather yamaha...more beautiful and naturally sound
