holiday festivities | Union Sq Holiday market, resy at Souraji + celebrating Thanksgiving
At the Union Square Holiday Market, we went to Ruby Bazaar for their toasted marshmallow hot chocolate. It was good, but too thick and decadent to finish.
Souraji!! We finally got a resy!!!!! The sushi was good and the AYCE/AYCD (all you can drink) were a killer! The hosts were very nice and spoke with us a lot (we were the last seating). The omakase included 12 pieces of nigiri and miso soup, with extra rounds of tuna, toro, and wagyu for the AYCE portion. Our cups were NEVER empty!! They kept refilling and refilling :0
Omakase pieces: Sea Bream, Tuna, Yellowtail, Toro, Spanish Mackerel, Salmon with Yuzu, Salmon, Toro with Uni Hand Roll, Scallop, A5 Wagyu with Truffle, Tuna Maki with Ikura, Eel, and Miso Soup (mix of white + red miso).
For 2024 Thanksgiving, we had four pies-pumpkin, apple, chocolate, and blueberry-corn ribs, garlic mashed potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts, turkey with root vegetables, ribs, corn bread, butternut squash mac and cheese, kare-kare, and puff pastry with feta cheese, caramelized onions + fig jam. Truly outdid ourselves :)

It’s that time again! Time to go apple and pumpkin picking :) Found out Golden Delicious apples are truly delicious and one of the best :0 I don’t mind hot apple cider but love frozen apple cider.
