I thought only men do the lion dance. 🤔
Wow! That's not easy. You have to memorize your steps, how u shake the head and control the eyes and ears. Wonder how long it takes to master the moves b4 able to perform?
Depends on what moves ur doing, basic moves that don't involve stacks or jongs can take anywhere from 3 months to a year to look nice and coordinated. Stacks usually take around half a year to master after leaning basic moves. Jongs and high elements are not meant for everyone, there are quite a few people I know who are great at the lion but can't go higher as they have a fear of heights. Having said all that, some people can learn it fast but others learn slower. I've been in my schs troupe for some time now and have met people who are just naturally talented at it, while I've also known seniors who have been in the troupe way longer than me that aren't as good (usually because they're not interested in the lion, they're more focused on the instrumental part). The most important thing when starting out is to train up arm strength as the lion is quite heavy and get used to the horse stance. But as long as there's passion to learn and improve anyone can pick it up and master it, how quickly is based on the individual.
My dad had to train for 3 years until he could preform
Underrated Video. Thanks a lot!
A river is flowing from west to east with a speed 5 ms-¹. A swimmer can swim in still water at speed of 10 ms-¹. If he wants to start from point A on south bank and reach opposite point B on north bank, in what direction should he swim?
