I don't have liquid black but i do have black gesso and liquid clear, will definitely try it that way Edit - would this work with black gesso, liquid clear, then black oil paint in the spots you're painting over? Like how Bob gets his northern lights effects?

I have a very thin piece of scrap Styrofoam that was used as packing for something that I slip between the bar and the canvas. Works like a charm!!!

I gave it a try tonight, turned out okay, I'm pretty happy with it. I only have acrylics as oil paints too expensive for me, I was just wetting my brush when I needed to blend worked well! thanks

Hadn't thought of the baby wipe, I'll try it. I did try your blk n wht seascape. I think I had to much liquid black. Are we supposed to wipe that off like the clear?
