Escaping the New Age with Jac Marino Chen
มุมมอง 22216 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
We recently had the privilege of interviewing Jac Marino Chen, on her journey out of the deception of the new age, into the truth of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. Today’s episode, is a wonderful reminder that the Lord is sovereign, that he can save to the uttermost, and that no one is beyond his reach as Hebrews 7:25 reminds us. Episode 41: The 3 C's of Reformed Theology - Confessionalism
มุมมอง 12314 วันที่ผ่านมา
“No Creed but the Bible” - a statement that has often been promoted, but rarely thought through. While every Christian should believe the Bible is sufficient and inerrant; we must define exactly what it is we believe ‘about’ the Bible. In light of this, on today’s episode, we make the case for robust ‘Confessionalism’, as a component in the Christian Life. We hope you are encouraged by today’s ...
Episode 40: The 3 C's of Reformed Theology - Calvinism
มุมมอง 12621 วันที่ผ่านมา
Today, we examine one of the three tenets of what it means to be, “Reformed”; by presenting more information regarding the “The Doctrines of Grace”. While we have spoke on this subject before, our aim is to set the table for a more broad discussion on the sovereignty of God as a whole. We hope this conversation blesses you. Scripture: Hebrews 7:25, James 4:8, John 10, Mark 9:24, Hebrews 1:3, Is...

On today’s episode, we take another look at the controversial movement, known as, the “New Apostolic Reformation”. We enlist the help of authors; Holly Pivec and R. Douglas Geivett, to examine the evidence and determine; is the “NAR” compatible with Biblical Christianity, or is it a “Counterfeit Kingdom”. Episode 38: Are you even Reformed, Bro?
มุมมอง 114หลายเดือนก่อน
In theological terms, many have made the category error of assuming the term, “Calvinism” and “Reformed Theology”, are interchangeable. While the Doctrines of Grace is an aspect of the Reformed Faith, it is simply the beginning of the conversation. Today, we go beyond the “Five Points”, and ask the question; “Are you even Reformed, Bro?”. Scripture: John 17:9-10, 1 Timothy 3:14-16, Deuteronomy ...
Episode 37: Mailbag 3
มุมมอง 27หลายเดือนก่อน
One of the highlights on our show is hearing from our listeners. Today, we take your questions and hope to provide helpful answers on your Biblical questions. We hope you enjoy this third installment of our mailbag series. Scripture: Hebrews 10:23-25, Hebrews 13:17, Matthew 18:17, Romans 1:16-17, Galatians 1:6-7, 2 Corinithians 4:1-3
Episode 36: The Importance of Avoiding Idolatry
มุมมอง 45หลายเดือนก่อน
The pastor and theologian, Voddie Baucham, once observed, “I’m not saying it’s bad to have things, it’s bad when things have you.” Possessions are gifts, and can ultimately be used to the glory of God. But they should never replace the gift giver. As we live in this temporal world, we pray that this message would be true of us, as well as you, our listeners; that the Lord would be the sole reci...
Episode 35: Soli Deo Gloria
มุมมอง 26หลายเดือนก่อน
In our day, many within Christendom are solely concerned with the importance of mankind’s redemption. While this is a key aspect in the Biblical narrative; it is not the main focus. Ultimately, as Christians, our aim and desire should be living our lives to the Glory of God. May this episode serve as an encouragement, that our pursuit every moment of every day, is for God’s glory alone. Scriptu...
Episode 34: Sola Scriptura
มุมมอง 1052 หลายเดือนก่อน
The scriptures are a deposit of all truth, gifted to us by the Lord himself. We are reminded in Ephesians 2:20-21 (ESV), that the testimony of God is “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.” May you be encouraged in today’s discussion, to trust ...
Episode 33: The Pope: The Anti-Christ?
มุมมอง 1042 หลายเดือนก่อน
The ‘Anti-Christ’, sometimes referred to as the ‘man of lawlessness’, in scripture; is often misunderstood or misidentified when discussing eschatology. Making terms more obscure, Puritan-era Confessions of Faith refer to the Pope, as the “Anti-Christ”. Today, we seek to unravel the context of that statement, and hope to answer the question - “Is the Pope the Anti-Christ?”. Scripture: 1 John 2:...

Great analysis, thank you! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Thank you, brothers, for having me on the show! All glory to God!
Conceal your intentions, Conflate your philosophy with the gospel, Coerce people by piety. The 3 true C's of Calvinism.
Thank you for your comment. Our intention is to make our show a platform to further the gospel. Whether someone subscribes to the Doctrines of Grace, is irrelevant, and frankly a secondary matter and an intramural discussion to us. What we do desire, is for people to be transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light by the work of Christ’s atonement. Thank you again for stopping by! Have a blessed day. Romans 1:16-17
James Renihan is such a treasure trove of knowledge about Baptist history.
Amen. We need to start with the Scriptures and the Doctrine of God. Will you have a podcast on classical theism?
Thank you for that suggestion. We have touched on the ‘Doctrine of God’ in our “5 Solas” Series. However, an attributes of God series may be something we looking into doing for season 2, in 2025. This book is a good primer on the topic: brokenwharfe.com/product/god-without-passions-us/
Thank you. Can you share the links to the books that James mentioned throughout the podcast?
Hello, thanks for dropping by and supporting the podcast! A couple books to read (mentioned in the show) on the topic of Particular Baptist History can be found here: press.founders.org/shop/heirs-of-the-reformation/ press.founders.org/shop/the-1689-baptist-confession-of-faith-in-modern-english/ Thanks for listening and we hope you enjoy our content! @@StayReformed Thanks for your response.
This is a great book.
Great video guys! I've been meaning to read this book. I'm so thankful that God delivered me and my husband out of this movement. I'm praying for the rest of my family that they come out of it as well.
No way
Now the real hard ones: Was Richard Baxter Reformed? Is Doug Wilson?
Just a fun tidbit, Dr. Parson was actually chisen to be in the Back Street Boys. He was even trained to sing and dance, but God had different plans, which i am thankful to God for.
I am a Spanish translator and would love to start translating Living Waters books into Spanish. Where can I do that?
Hello, thanks for your comment. Regarding ‘Living Waters’ while we appreciate their ministry and recommend their material, we are not affiliated nor employed by them. It would be best to reach out to them directly and visit: livingwaters.com. In terms of Confessionally Reformed Baptists, the Puritan era produced 3 well known “Reformed Confessions”; Westminster Confession of Faith (1646), The Savoy Declaration (1658), and The Second London Baptist Confession of Faith (1677/1689). There is much unity and harmony between those Reformed Traditions. The main issues where they differ involve; Church Polity, Baptism, and the administration of the Covenant (with Covenant Theology). We have an upcoming episode on this very topic, in the meantime this might be a helpful article: www.logos.com/grow/reformed-baptist/ God Bless, and we hope you are edified by this ministry. Soli Deo Gloria.
What is confessionally reformed Baptist? I have never heard of it. I am Presbyterian (PCA , not PCA USA) and we are reformed too.
Catholic convert here. Nice discussion. Keep on studying, brothers! Christ did not leave the Bible to his apostles, or even the New Testament canon. He left a Church. And the Church established the canon... by its authority. The scriptures are a document of the Church, primarily for use in the liturgy.
But Catholics do see Christ as the head of the Church…so therefore the Pope is not the Anti-Christ. Right? To use an OT analogy, Christ is the Davidic King like Hezekiah and Peter received the Keys of power like Eliakim (Isaiah 22:22) Problem solved now…right?
most I know or run across describe the pope as the head of the church without thinking about what you're really asking them. those that are challenged on this will include "on earth" in that statement -- the title a pope takes as "vicar of Christ" backs this idea up, with vicar meaning essentially the same "in place of" or "instead of" (for the on earth part) yet the "anti" in antichrist literally means the same thing. take from that what you will. this idea that Christ is some invisible head off in the ethers of the current heaven and needs an earthly substitute is funny considering all the OT stories about oh my ppl really want a king on earth, okay i'll give you a king see what happens... not to mention the earthly substitute really gives a LOT of wiggle room on the rest of their theology, which absolutely contradicts much of God's word as we have it. so I'd have to agree the pop is of course either a "type of" antichrist as they suggest, or rather are one of the antichrists, which to me is just another matter of semantics, but catholic theology is absolutely against the Christ of the Scriptures and the catholic head is as well, even more-so looking at the various popes and their actions throughout history.

AMEN THE TRUTH
DITCH REFORMED! Bury the rancid TULIP. Christ died for ALL AND ANYONE CAN BE SAVED!
I totally agree! OSAS
Great video! Praise God for His providence and sovereignty in salvation! I have a similar testimony in that I came across Living Waters Ministry and Ray's videos. I realized I was a false convert, and God saved me. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thank you for sharing your story! We praise God for what he has done for His Glory, and also, for the kindness he has shown you. We are very grateful for the ministry of Ray Comfort and Living Waters too! Thank you for listening to this episode, and we hope you enjoy the rest of our content!
Very well done, brothers! Appreciate the Scriptures used!
