      The coating didn’t have any issues but I’d look into the DIY Detail metal coating if you don’t have a coating already. That wasn’t available when I coated these otherwise I would have used that. They have some good videos on it on their channel. It’s not like other coatings, it takes a while to flash while it bonds to the raw metal. They coated a cyber truck using it and have a good video on it!

      Correct, this was washed before it was dropped off and had very little dirt/dust. I usually let the APC dwell for a few minutes and then go straight into the wash. The rinseless I spray on before the contact wash when the apc is still on the paint will rinse some of it off and the rinseless wash afterwards removes the rest of it. Thank you for watching!!

    How does this not damage the tire?

    • @alfredautospa
      @alfredautospa 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The solvent does dry out the tire a bit, but if you follow up with a tire dressing immediately it should rehydrate the tire. I haven’t noticed a difference in the treated vs untreated areas once the tire dressing wears off after the initial application. From that point forward you should be good.

      A little over half the bottle. I think you could get a large suv and a small sports car coated with one bottle if you stretched it. That coated everything except the wheels. I can usually get two f150s coated with a single bottle just to give you a ballpark of how far it will go.

    Thanks for the video. One little suggestion though, compare the products but at their suggested dilution ratios. For DIY Detail All Clean next time use it at 15/1. The high concentration you used in this video actually has a negative effect on the efficiency of the product. It needs the water to work properly. The “strongest” 11:13 dilution I would use is 10/1. Anything more concentrated than that you’re simply wasting product and actually reducing its effectiveness.

    • @alfredautospa
      @alfredautospa 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for the feedback! I’ll need to do another cleaning on my vehicles this week after I have some maintenance done and I’ll be sure to do a follow up video at the proper dilutions. I assumed aligning the dilutions would give a truer comparison between the products, but your comment about needing water to making them work effectively makes sense. I hear Yvan talk about proper dilutions all the time and I should have started with recommended dilutions. I did notice that 15:1 in a foaming pump sprayer, all-clean seems way more effective. I was thinking it was the foaming action, but it could be a combo of the proper dilutions and the foaming.

I'm gradually bringing my prices into alignment with what other detailers are charging but still give a bit of a discount because of my limited availability. • @alfredautospa
      @alfredautospa 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Air compressor has many uses. The tornador or the rag company version definitely makes a big difference in cleaning the interior. With it I can remove the bulk of the dry dirt/debris from the carpets and door panels/pockets before using any liquid. I haven't needed to extract a carpet in almost a year doing it this way and it saves me from over-saturating the fabrics. Definitely worth the investment once you get there. You can get close to the results with a vac and a drill brush, but the compressor and air gun definitely make it quicker. A polisher is nice, but definitely not necessary when you're first starting out. Honestly, I only use it when I am polishing before a coating. On a normal interior/exterior I only wash, clay/iron remover, dry, and then spray sealant like DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss. Are you detailing as a business or for yourself?

    This car was an absolute blast to work on, and that blue looks incredible at the end. In this one I tried to address the audio levels that were an issue with my last video, trying to find that ideal balance between background music and voice over. Every video I strive to get better, and I think this one is step above any I've released so far. The audio drops out about half-way through the video for about 30 seconds, just making it known do you don't think your device is having issues! I appreciate you all and I hope you enjoy watching this one as much as I enjoyed detailing and editing it!

    awesome video brother ✌🏽🐿️✌🏽… damn shame about the windshield, even worse shame you don’t have a ($thanks) button on this vid. i would’ve loved to throw a few $’s your way to help with the windshield cost you had to pay for and to say thanks for all your hard work sharing your passion with all us detailing nerds. i do such a small number of details in between my regular career that i’m battling with getting garage keepers insurance or anything g else that will help if and when these problems happen with my details. but like you eluded to customer service is key and thanks for sharing 🐿️💨

      Thanks man, I appreciate the support. My customer was super understanding about the whole situation. They went through their insurance and covered the deductible and I gave them credit for future services. I was happy to cover the cost but that’s the direction they wanted to go. My first time running into this and I really wanted to share this with my viewers because I don’t think anyone really talks about it much online. No need to send money, having you as a viewer is more than enough, but I appreciate it! I enjoy the editing process and connecting with everyone who shares this passion. New video dropping tomorrow on a 2019 camero SS 🔥🔥🔥

The fact the their products are some of the best I've used is a bonus. Have you tried any of their stuff yet? If so, I'm curious what are your thoughts? Thanks for watching!

      Thank you Georgina, I appreciate your continued support and feedback! I thought the mic track was loud enough while I was editing the video, but I agree 100% now that I've listened to it on youtube. I'll ensure the voiceover is loud enough on the next video. Should have one posted in two weeks on a blue Camaro I ceramic coated.

      @alfredautospa 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would do it, you won’t be disappointed! I’ve used both as stand alone coatings and they are some of the best I’ve used. Stacked you’d get the best of both coatings.

    • @gseybold
      @gseybold 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      DIY advised not to use the 5 year. Only the 8 year then topped by the 3 year.

    • @alfredautospa
      @alfredautospa 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@gseybold I’ve heard Yvan talk about using either combination in a number of the diy videos. Maybe I missed some information in one of their recent videos or posts on Facebook. Maybe his guidance was for the best protection, use the 8/3 combo, or if you’re not sure then go with the 8 year topped with 3. I’ve been very impressed with this coating combo so far.

    • @gseybold
      @gseybold 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are correct @alfred. I apologize for the incorrect comment. I went back and confirmed that he does say you can stack the 5 year and 8 year coatings as long as the 3 year coating is the topper. Video is below. th-cam.com/video/xTR7Itxob1c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=L__3nL-QhgXIVBaU

    How many towels did you go through per layer ?

    • @alfredautospa
      @alfredautospa 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ll use two towels per layer. One for the initial leveling and another for just a second wipe incase I missed any spots as a security measure. The initial towel shouldn’t get wet if you’re applying the coating correctly and give it enough time to flash.
