Car has to be 15 years or newer. I have a 20 year old car the drives a whole lot better then most of these newer cars on the road today. Absurd.

In mass they are forced to guarantee 75% for the drivers and still is not worth it.

In st.Louis they take 30-40%. They gaslight drivers with the bonuses, turbos, streaks, scheduled-pick ups, contracts through the city transportation department and people don’t tip. They use another apps for cash back on gas but that is non existent. The platform fees are MORE THAN the additional insurance!! They also neglect to provide divers with accurate information about their passengers and trips. Not to mention they outsource to different countries for driver/passenger support. Lyft is just terrible.

I make alot but i work 70 to 90 hours a week. I only drive 4pm to 5am in los Angeles

I've used priority pick-up about 5 times in SF bay area. The app locates driver then makes you wait to see details. Then your quoted a time and you watch as lyft driver doesn't move and your quoted time keeps going up until you reach the time you were supposed to arrive. then they assign you a new driver and the process starts again or they actually pick you up. I've never got a ride on 1st driver assigned and complaining to Lyft is a joke.

The only advantage to using hyrecar that i can see is that you have the option to do both Uber and lyft at with the same vehicle. If you rent from Uber or lyft, you can only drive for the platform that you rent from.

$5000 in a week? That is impossible even if Uber gave you the full amount of the fair. These two companies are just ripping off their drivers. They pay the drivers about one third of the fair collected and it's costing you more to drive for them than they pay you. Maybe they have a few drivers that they like and send them only the best rides to make the most money because the majority of the drivers I talked to all tell me that it's not worth it and that they are quitting. I have heard quite a few drivers tell me that they didn't earn any money at all and that it costed them money out of their pocket to drive for these two companies and they said they worked about 60 hours a week. It doesn't matter anymore what time of day your driving in LA because traffic here is just 24/7 now. You might get no traffic if you drive only between midnight and 4:00am but you wont be getting many if any at all rides to give during those hours. So I would stay away from these two companies and not even use them for any rides yourself because you are just screwing those drivers over when you use them and making management very rich.

Now you don't even make 14usd an hour ! or less doing uber of lyft and indrive etc ,,,, they manipulating the upfront fare and the keep almost 80% and the worse scenario the majority of the low offers are 4usd or worst ...is impossible to make a 100usd in a few hours ...is more wasted of time and fuel . is no profitable anymore ! here at Miami area or the whole country running the same fate

My top one..... stop chasing Uber's 85% acceptance rate. As soon as I worried about being gold, acceptance was the only thing holding me back. My income sank to HALF what it was. You'd think me driving north without a rider Uber would throw me a rider to the north. NO.... I'll get a mini $5 trip in the opposite direction. Keep your ratings up and your cancel rate down. Screw the acceptance rate.

As far as % wise in my smaller market, there is no rhyme or reason to how much they take out. In one night driving for Uber each ride is different. 40% on one. 55% the next then 32%, 57% , 65%. etc etc I was deactivated for 49 days when Uber falsely accused me of my fraud claiming my account was a duplicate of one deactivated account, several accounts, 4 accounts or false documentation. Never got a strait accusation. . Then on the 50th day, I’m reactivated. No explanation and of course no compensation. Here’s the thing. I found out from supervisor ( who probably got fired). Two Uber eats accounts were opened using my identity AND ONE WAS STILL ACTIVE WHILE I WAS DEACTIVATED and collected fares. Two background checks with counties I have never lived in. I’ve had have to deal with the outside consequences like taxes. After demanding an explanation and any information which by federal law , Uber must give me all information regarding identity theft and refuses to do so. Their explanation. The person has been banned. Full Stop. That 49 days of lost potential earnings ( not my main source of income) tipped my already financial problems over the edge. It was all Ubers fault and had done everything to get me to give up and go away. In the real world, Uber knows I cannot afford an attorney and finding one in Minnesota is impossible. So yeah.

Something I've started doing is if I'm sincere I'll go back and leave a positive comment for the rider, like 5 Star Passenger, Was ready at the curb, etc. and fill in pre-set buttons for positive feedback. I've had tips come in doing that, and I feel good too.

The unfortunate thing is, no company will ever change unless enough people complain about it. People are typically two non-caring and willing to walk away silently for it to have an impact. Until we get unity in the Uber community, nothing will change.

Good video as far as he mentioned a lot is pay he mentions 99% of people don’t make that much money my experience with two I taught how to do Lyft that never did any ride share they both make $1000-$1200 a week less than full time there first week. I have bin working full time for about 5 years I average $110000 a year I California and only pay about $1000 a year in federal taxes in California. If taxes are done right you can get 80% or more in tax right off. Don’t understand the money issue. I think most people do not take advantage of maxing out every way you can make money.

We did not keep 100% we pay the subscription fee the high subscription fee. We like the Uber and Lyft the system that I’ve given us. Whatever amount of money will make that our money empowered. They charge us after we make the money we don’t like the system check the system just like Uber and Lyft don’t lie. That’s a big liar.

How or Why is on a $19 trip the driver only makes $6???! The driver is doing the work, and paying other add expenses. Just is another example of Model Day Capitalism "Economic Inequality". All driver needs to set up their own advertisement push for individual transporting services under a public format. This would eliminate corporate crooks like Uber and Lyft. Since they obviously don't believe in fairness or equality get rid of them.

I drive only for lyft and get paid .24 cents per minute and .71 cents per mile. Lyft charges what they charge it’s not a percentage. Makes me wonder if people here actually drive

I've just started trying to do Uber Eats, and when I open up the preferences page, it shows Deliveries and Sign up for Rides. The crazy thing is, Deliveries is unchecked, and when I check it, it unchecks itself after about a second! (And if I try to check and uncheck it myself, it won't let me and says "one service must always be on" and then it unchecks itself lol) I can't find anyone else with this problem, and I can't figure out whether I'm just in a bad location, or I'm not getting requests because I don't/can't have Deliveries checked in the app.
