The Story of Christmas Future - Revelation 21:1-4
This Sunday, after reflecting on the stories of Christmas past and present, we will turn our focus to the story of Christmas future by looking at Revelation 21:1-4. This passage offers a glorious vision of a second Christmas-the return of Christ to make all things new. My hope is to encourage you with the incredible blessings that Jesus will bring at His return: a new home, a forever family, and the lasting prosperity every heart longs for. When we truly understand and meditate on the hope of this future Christmas, it will transform the way we live for Christ today. Let’s pray to that end. Soli Deo Gloria!
Big Idea: Use your hope in Christmas future to change the way you live for Christ now.
I. The Christian's new home
II. The Christian's new family
III. The Christian's new way of life
======================
Preparation Questions: Revelation 21:1-4
1. Why is the theme of "home" so central in the Bible, and how does the celebration of Christmas amplify our deep longing for it?
2. How was your family gathering this Christmas? Did it align with your expectations? In what ways can focusing on our eternal family help us manage our expectations in the present?
3. What kind of prosperity will Christians experience when Christ returns in glory? How should this hope influence (1) your current goals and aspirations, and (2) how you manage and use your resources?
4. As you reflect on the blessings promised in Revelation 21:1-4, which one excites you the most? How should these promises shape the way we live as followers of Christ today?

The Story of Christmas Present - Galatians 4:1-7
มุมมอง 30วันที่ผ่านมา
Last week, we reflected on the story of Christmas past by exploring how the five major covenants of the Old Testament are fulfilled in the coming of Christ. This Sunday, we will turn our attention to the story of Christmas present as revealed in Galatians 4:1-7. In this passage, the Apostle Paul reassures the Galatians that salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ, not by adherence to t...
The Story of Christmas Past - Various Passages
มุมมอง 5214 วันที่ผ่านมา
Every December, churches around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ-a fitting tradition considering the profound impact His birth has had on human history. At CCC, we will join in this celebration by exploring the birth of Christ from three perspectives: past, present, and future. This Sunday, we will begin with Christmas past, reflecting on Jesus’ coming in the context of the Old Tes...
History: Written, Directed, and Produced by God - Daniel 2:21
มุมมอง 3821 วันที่ผ่านมา
Our country is on the cusp of a major political transition next month. Since we're currently in between sermon series, we'll consider a timely and profound truth this week that will help you think Biblically about history's turning tides. Take a few minutes before the service to read through Daniel 2. The sermon will focus on Daniel 2:21, where Daniel, in his prayer of praise to God, acknowledg...
God's Desire For You - Ephesians 6:21-24
มุมมอง 50หลายเดือนก่อน
This Sunday, we will conclude our study of Ephesians by examining Paul’s final greetings and benediction. While the concluding verses of New Testament letters are often overlooked-sometimes dismissed as repetitive or formulaic-the last words of this letter are far from an afterthought. They offer us a pointed reminder of both the blessings and power true Christians enjoy in Christ. In these fin...
God's Prayer Warriors - Ephesians 6:18-20
มุมมอง 79หลายเดือนก่อน
Last Sunday, we took up the sword of the Spirit, the final piece of God’s armor. This Sunday, the Apostle Paul will reveal the key to wearing our armor effectively-Spirit-filled prayer. If we want to stand firm in the faith, fight against the schemes of the enemy, and live lives worthy of our calling, we must become prayer warriors. My prayer for this Sunday is that every member of CCC will not...
God's Divine Warriors - Ephesians 6:17
มุมมอง 33หลายเดือนก่อน
This Sunday we will consider the last piece of God’s armor-the sword of the Spirit. Unlike the other five pieces of armor, this piece is offensive, given to us to push back the darkness and gain ground for the Kingdom of light. The last piece of equipment a Roman soldier would take up before going into battle was his sword. It is the last piece Paul calls Christians to take up as well. My hope ...
The Helmet of Salvation: Past, Present & Future - Ephesians 6:17
มุมมอง 33หลายเดือนก่อน
This Sunday, as we continue looking at the armor of God in Ephesians 6, we will consider "the helmet of salvation." Like the "breastplate of righteousness," the helmet is not only a piece of defensive armor, it also protects a vital body part-the head and brain. During our time together, we will look at how our understanding of salvation-past, present, and future-is able to protect us from Sata...
Faith that Worships - Ephesians 6:16
มุมมอง 472 หลายเดือนก่อน
For the past few weeks, we have been considering the armor of God in Ephesians 6. We have looked at the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, and the need to fit our feet with the readiness of the gospel of peace. This Sunday, the Apostle Paul will add to our arsenal the shield of faith, an essential piece of armament when life becomes particularly unbearable. From verse 16, I hope t...
Finding Peace In Satan's Storm - Ephesians 6:15
มุมมอง 502 หลายเดือนก่อน
Last week, we started putting on the armor of God, adorning the belt of truth and the breastplate of righteousness. This week, we will be looking at footwear as God calls us to fit our feet with the gospel of peace. The fighting boot of the Roman soldier, called a caliga, was a military masterpiece. With cleats on the bottom for traction, ventilation for coolness, and comfort for long marches, ...
Armed With Truth and Righteousness- Ephesians 6:14
มุมมอง 212 หลายเดือนก่อน
Last week, we started Paul's final teaching in Ephesians. In 6:10-20, Paul not only recapitulates some of the significant themes of the letter, but he also tells us how, in God's strength, we are able to live lives worthy of our calling (4:1). We were exhorted last Sunday to "be strong" and "stand firm" against our enemy, the devil, by putting "on the whole armor of God" (6:1-13). This Sunday, ...
Be Strong, Stand Firm - Ephesians 6:10-20

As we enter the final stretch of Ephesians, Paul turns his focus to power-power to exercise all the imperatives of the last three chapters, power to live a life worthy of our calling, and power to fight against our greatest enemy, the devil. In Ephesians 6:10-20, Paul will not only recapitulate some of the major themes he covered earlier in the letter, but he will also tell us how, by God's str...

“Goodwill” is the e Greek eudokia which means kindness or benevolence. It means the kindness of God TOWARD men is this peace in Christ Jesus.
The difference in Luke 2:14 between versions. one proclaims: “peace on earth, good will toward men” and one proclaims: “peace on earth toward men of good will.” So in one version we see two packaged ideas: 1. Peace👈 on 👉earth 2. Kindness👈toward 👉mankind And the glory is given to God. While in the other version we have “peace” from God shown ONLY toward people who please Him… or toward men of “good will” or perhaps kindhearted people. (Considering the meaning of the Greek “eudokia”) Or perhaps the more Calvinistic idea that peace is toward specific men that God has chosen to show it. Ie: “peace to those on whom His favor rests” ie: The Elect/Select While we COULD rightly argue that peace between God and man is only *realized* by obeying God through believing in Jesus… isn’t it more import to see what is actually being conveyed and get it right? What is the message here? Are the angels shouting “the peace of God to the select few” or “the peace of God toward those who earned it by their behavior”? “Peace toward men who please Him” takes the focus OFF of the gift and is a message that says “be good and you will have peace.” “Peace toward the Elect/Those select favored among men” certainly suggests that the gift of Christ is not for all mankind. While the message of the gospel is actually that God has extended PEACE in Jesus Christ to all mankind out of the nature of His gracious and kind heart! ---- Peace (Jesus) out of Heaven and come now to earth Because of the wonderful kindness of the Father toward all mankind. 👆🏻this is what I believe is the message the angels shouted. If the peace of God is only extended toward those who merit it, it is most certainly not any sort of good news, because people most certainly do not have Good Will in their hearts. If the peace of God is only extended toward a certain select “Elect” among men, then what even is the point of the gift? What good news is there for the hopeless rebel who is in his heart an enemy of God? If God has selected particular people as recipients of His kindness (grace)? Surely some poor bastards are just SOL and the angels is shouting something that cannot be received by even some of the shepherds there that night. Rather… He entered into hopelessness The light and love of men Came down and brought light to men’s eyes. The Father, because of His kindness has offered Christ to the whole of mankind.

Hard words are good words. When we say, "this is a hard word," what that really means is that we have gone or are astray, or we have backslidden. Either way, we are in not in the place we need to be. It only sounds harsh because we are not living in accordance with it. If we are are living and aligned correctly, the words are simply truth.

Great teaching!!! This is right around the corner and I really miss a church like this! Like Elia we can trust in the Lord BUT we need getting more close to eachother! That is also a work of the spirit I belive. Bear in mind all of those who is in prison and suffering torture! Richard Wurmbrand is one of the first book i readed - 15 years in prison! Struggling with it for manny years to find a "home", I have to take my one resposability as a diciple in the body of Christ I know, "outbrakers" have come to gather here not far from me so I will do my duty to find my place there, I have the gift of giving, admonish and comfort. Bought a house a bit outside town to lodge other if ... No , when you can not speak, being persecuted. Blessings from Sweden! MARANATHA!!!
Downloaded 🙃 "Covertion terapi" to MP3😄 - can listen to it when ever .. at my job .... Keep up the good work Keith! You R a Blessing to Sweden!!!
