Why Going to Church for Repentance Is the First Step to Healing | JOHN MACARTHUR
Love you , John
I also cannot believe the ignorance I’m reading on these comments. Hebrew and Greek do not have the same rules as English. You are reading a translation of the old and New Testaments and that too makes a difference.
You should explain the deception of Calvinism. Thank you. The larger the church the more money for the pastor, right Johnny.
What parable?
HOW SHOULD WE RESPOND? LIKE HOLD THOSE RESPONSIBLE ACCOUNTABLE, LIKE A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION THAT USES THIER OWN SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS TO COMMIT ACTS OF TERRORISM AND INSURRECTION, AS A CORPORATE INSTUTUTION!!!
Amen 🙏
Charlatan
Thank you so much for the opportunity to be part of the Christians families and faithful true believers of the Almighty God. We pray for the salvation of all human beings in this world to know our true powerful creator living God in the name of our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST amen. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️✝️
No it is not the most important... Jesus said at Passover the bread is my body broken for you, and this red wine is my blood shed for the sins of the world... Jesus said do this in remembered of me.... Do what? Celebrate the Christian Passover his sacrifice and death as the Lamb of God Isaiah 53.... Nowhere does Jesus say to celebrate my Resurrection.... So the church has been deceived by the Roman Catholic Church to celebrate a pagan holiday Easter... And all your church leaders you will answer to God on judgment Day... Because you should know better... God's word is his will... What God spoke he wrote... And you refuse to obey
You wouldn't know scripture if it jumped up out of the grass and bit you in your backside! " I want you to know how people ought to behave in God's family- that is, in the CHURCH of the living God, which upholds the truth and keeps it safe." 1 Timothy 15. Not the bible but Thee Church that keeps and preserves the truth and is the final authority. Not your personal interpretation, Macarthur. " We must be careful to remember that the interpretation of scripture is never a matter for the individual..." 2 Peter 20.
The headline has nothing to do with the content.
The oldest books we have in the New Testament are not the gospels, but the letters of Paul. Paul did know nothing about a physical resurrection nor a virgin birth. He wrote a whole chapter on what resurrection means. It can be summed up in his words: "So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body;it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. (1 Cor 15:42-45). The idea of a virgin birth and a physical resurrection only developed later. Even in Mark's gospel we don't find a physical resurrection, not even an empty tomb: "And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were afrighted. And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him." (Mark 16:5-6) Because people first read Matthew, they assume the tomb was empty. However it doesn't say that. The stone was rolled away but the tomb was not empty. A young man was sitting there and only said, that Jesus is not here. It's the same when you go to a graveyard to the tomb of a beloved person. It's a memorial site but the person is not there, his bones are all that is left of him or her. It doesn't say that the body wasn't there, only that Jesus wasn't there. This matches with what Paul teaches on resurrection: "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption." (1 Cor 15:53) For Paul resurrection doesn't mean a physical resurrection, but a spiritual one. Why would Jesus need a physical body if he is taken up to heaven?
This was a wonderful word from the Heavenly Father, thank you, Amen!
How could Jesus die on a Friday? For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. And His resurrection was on Sunday. That is 72 hours. Please teach that truth-
You are forgetting that the Jewish days are from 6pm in the evenings. So come 6pm on Friday the Saturday started.
He gets it right all the time. Better listen people. Or suffer the consequences. Fire and brimstone. A little humility is useful , man.
We can read and bibles are available the Holy Spirit will guide and teach the Elect!
And as we see there are many who lead the nations astray….
Amen 🙏 I thank Lord Jesus for Grace Church for teaching the truth of the Bible. Praise you Lord, I. Love you ❤
Amen 🙏

Remember Mark 9:39? But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me....... Doesn't seem like Jesus would mind the sharing of His word by anyone, no matter if they're using the tools they have at hand. If JOHN MACARTHUR doesn't mind the sharing of his sermons, I don't have a problem since Pastor Macarthur gets the credit for the words he shared.
Calvanists are blasphemers who twist the bible works saves sin will take you hell and you are elected what rubbish
Mac Author is exactly what he blames anyone else being. Mac Author is an unfaithful calvinist with the most false theology. Calvinist churches are cults like Mac Author's.
John, PhD? Really. You obviously don't care about correct grammar. For example, the word GODHEAD is mentioned 3 times in NT. Correct grammar will only allow 1 DISTINCT PERSON TO BE IMPLIED. Right? Yes. If God were 3 DISTINCT PERSONS proper grammar would be GODHEADS PLURAL not GODHEAD singular.
What is wrong with you?
@@Jayhill2077thank you
What???
look from Greek grammar
Get real! You have got to be kidding me! CONCENTRATE ON THE TRUTH!
John, multiple times in Isaiah God claims to not know two other distinct persons. I am the first and last and BESIDES ME there is no God, I know none. John you can't butcher simple correct grammar that makes the Trinity based on lies because you butcher, singular and plural correct grammar. PhD , really, your excuse I can't comprehend how God butchers correct grammar which is lies but the lies are true.
You aren’t saved. Repent.
@Jayhill2077 no doubt you're a brain dead non pacifist that will kill his enemies like John. Hellhounds coming for you. Notice John won't say a word, only a idiot like you.
One God.
@@Jayhill2077 Any idea what repent means? Both John the Baptiser and Jesus preached a very simple message "Repent for the kingdom of God is near". Why repent? Because at that time many have abandoned the Torah, many of the priests and the high priest were in the pockets of the Romans, and the Pharisees, although popular among the people, often put more emphasis on outward religious duties like paying the tithe but neglected the weightier commandments, those of compassion and mercy. Repent means a return to the Torah.
@ huh? Repent, in the new covenant means to “agree” with God that you are not following His way and are in sin and then turning 180° away from that sin towards Gods perfect way. Am I missing something? We don’t live under the law anymore. You okay?
I AM, is SINGULAR, and proper grammar will only allow it to apply to 1 distinct person not 3 distinct persons WE ARE.
"And God said let us make man in our image, after our likeness..."
@@robertvann7349 best way to explain the word i am Godhead three as one is what i believe the bible teach so three of them can express in singular for a single out father or Jesus or holy spirit.it can be used as plural i am for example the word government when God mention to moses from the bush i believe not three of them there may be jesus alone said it.
What is missing here is the nature of unity. The Holy Trinity, the Spirit of God manifesting Himself in 3 “persons” is still one God. And the 3 persons are in complete unity. This is why Jesus tells us in John 10:30 that He and the Father are One. Also, when Jesus says that before Abraham, I Am, He is identifying Himself as eternal, i.e, always in the present tense, just as God is - because Jesus is God. The Father is also God, as is the Holy Spirit. Does that mean there are 3 Gods? Absolutely not, because the 3 members of the Godhead exist together and simultaneously in complete unity; and unity means one, not many. This is a concept which has no place in grammar.
@@jacksonbooth2462 there’s a lot to unpack in that comment. 1. To say that God manifested himself in 3 persons would be classified as heresy according to the actual doctrine of the Trinity (though, “God manifesting Himself” is more in line with scripture than the “official” doctrine of the Trinity is). 2. The Godhead being made up of members (like a committee). You may want to double check that idea. (ie. Is Jesus in the Godhead or is the Godhead in Jesus? Colossians 2:9) 3. Three “persons” existing in complete unity is actually an oxymoron. (which I think you recognized and is why you followed that by saying “This is a concept which has no place in grammar.”) 4. The use of the word “concept” when it comes to God is a huge red flag. The Trinity is a concept. God is not a concept. If the Trinity is your God, then you may be worshiping a concept of “a God” but not the true and living God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. All said in love, ✝️💟☝️.
"Is God unfair in not chosing to save everyone? Fair would be sending everyone to Hell. You don't want fair you want mercy" quote from John MacArthur... that is pure Calvinism not scripture.
Brother John is RIGHT GOD CHOSE some FOR HIMSELF. YOUR PROBLEM PEOPLE IS THAT YOU DO NOT WANT TO BELIEVE THE BIBLE YOU WILL HAVE A VERY BIG SURPRISE ON THAT DAY.. Theres still time to REPENT
@JesusChristMyKing. Interesting? So after 👿 ruse in the Garden separating man from God & bringing death by sin... God only wants some redeemed for His glory & most who are not any worse sinners will get the wrath they deserve... also for God's glory? John Calvin-ism is psychotic
@@mikelyons2831 Adam condemned all humanity to hell when he disobeyed God. We all were on our way to hell. What Jesus did was to choose some people for Himself. A people for His Glory. Romans 9 14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not! 15 For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.” 16 So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. 17 For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.” 18 Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens. 19 You will say to me then, “Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?” 20 But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? @@mikelyons2831 Matthew 13 The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares 24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 “but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 “But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. 27 “So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 “He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ 29 “But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 ‘Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” The Parable of the Tares Explained 36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.” 37 He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 “The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. 39 “The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. 40 “Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. 41 “The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 “and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 “Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

when Jesus Christ died on. the cross did He save us from our sins Yes. the. why do we ask again ?
As "Christians" we need to love all people unconditionally just as we want to be loved. (Matthew 7:12 and Matthew 22 36-40) . When people embarrass homosexuals publicly, as this audio/video does, it is completely contrary to what God does. He shows love and mercy to all. Humans are not the judges and therefore do not have the authority to talk about homosexuals as Godless. Please read Luke 5:27-31. Now ask yourself, would I have a meal and get to know someone who is homosexual, even be their friend? Jesus would. The truth is that man sees only the outward appearance but God looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). Here's the bottom line, humans need to stop judging, or face the consequences (Luke 6:37).
Mac Author needs to "repent" from reformed theology which is disguised as evil calvinism.
Thank you Pastor Jmac, I have no problem with any of gods breathed Word love luba

@ God sees your heart more than your grammar. He knows your sincerity. 🙏❤

John MacArthur doesn’t really know. He knows some, but he believes lies like the unbiblical sola scriptura and trinity. He also calls those who actually believe in the truth (Latter-day Saints) demonic and condones other people calling them demonic as well. Not Christ-like behavior.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. While we may have different beliefs, it’s important to approach discussions about faith with mutual respect and kindness. Let’s focus on building understanding rather than division.
