I especially love this video! I lived here with my parents from 1970 till 1981 right next to what is now the Valley View Lodge on Chesnut Hill Road in Townsend. Wow how the place has changed!! Oh and sure don’t remember seeing the huge tree shaped cell tower behind my house!!! When did they build that?? Is there such a thing as cell service in Townsend? Heck when I lived there we didn’t even have push button home phones?!?!?

I've been on medicare since 2020. It's very simple. If you can afford a medigap plan.... go with high deductible G (you'll need to add a part D pharmacy plan to that) If you can't afford a medigap plan you go with advantage (no additional part D needed)...but be advised advantage plans, aka part C, are cheap but not popular with many providers. The network is limited as are the benefits. The reason G high deductible is my #1 choice is math. Very inexpensive monthly premium the high deductible ($2800) is still hundreds of dollars cheaper over the course of a year than no deductible G. The medicare website is very user friendly.

This is an EXCELLECT video for what I was looking for. You give a GREAT feel for what it would be like to live in the area. My wife & I are considering moving to the area a few years from now. We just visited Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and beyond. We currently live in Fort Lauderdale Fl. We want to live where we have the 4 seasons. & lower cost of living. Of course S. Fl is very expensive. But of course everything here is very convenient. Grocer, shopping, plenty of entertaining activities to choose from. But we are going to move to Tenn. We are very much in love with the area. We just want to try to find a mix of convince of the atmosphere we are use to, but close to the absolute beauty of the area & all of the fun things in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. So in short, close to P/G, and shopping lol. We are considering Sevierville as well. I don't think we want to live very close to Knoxville, but of course a possibility. We will most probably rent a place in the area before buying, as to get very familiar with the area. Thanks again I will checkout more of your videos.

What about Alcoa city schools, or Louisville, Greenback, you mentioned Walland & Townsend. Then both have some private schools...Maryville College. You are right tho hard to compare the 2 bc they are different. Flat land or mountain view...could be bc most in Maryville either is or was farm land.
