Awesome video my man new sub
Hey Jose, thanks for the sub and the kind words. Let me know what kind of content you’d like to see next so we can continue growing the channel!
@@CardboardKings314 Ive recently gotten into autograph s TTM and I meet players in person and get their autographs . I love to see if you can do the same as well plus its cheaper on the pockets if you know what I mean take care of yourself god bless.
Wow, those are some insane blasters. I personally think the Halloween parallels are pretty cool - they add an extra chase to retail product. However I could also see how people don’t like them
Thanks for sharing your opinion on the Halloween Parallels. I agree, they definitely give an extra chase to retail product. If you can pull a big numbered Halloween variant like we did than it’s all worth it!
Those blasters were loaded. I noticed targets website has them so I might pick some up
For real. Blasters are the new bangers I’m telling you. I ripped 2 additional blasters and pulled ANOTHER Judge Paw Patrol SP. Absolutely insane!
How long do you think until targets site sells out? I think the max is 3.
@@mannyquintana8074I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re gone within a day or two. I remember for series 1 they sold out within a couple days of release
@@CardboardKings314opened 6 blasters from Target. Pulled 3 Judge Paw Patrol cards?? Either great luck or they just aren’t that scarce. Like the card though. Love this set. Thanks for the video.
@@tedkrillies5326 I’m starting to think the Paw Patrol SPs aren’t that rare 😂. I opened 2 additional blasters (not shown in this video) and pulled another Judge SP as well as
PSA is trash overall. I wont even grade with them anymore because the swings are just beyond ridiculous. You actually loose more with psa gambling due to their graders being total dumpster fire trash vs SGC whos yes slabs sell for 15 to 20% less for modern ,however you receive far more 10s and 9.5s with a better looking slab / know you have competent graders ,which is far better value cuz you save more money grading with them in fees and receive cards back 3x faster back in hand . With allot of psa9 slabs of top players now selling for the same amount as a raw variant , people getting sgc 9.5s and more sgc 10s your actually making way more money long term than grading with PSA. If i had a dollar for every perfect flawless looking card iv submitted that got a 9 id be rich af from psa. Now there are exceptions, If i pull a gold CJ stroud that looks clean /10 of course ill send that card in as a solo submission to PSA but other than something like that im going bulk to sgc all the way. Time is also important with the quarters and seasons , waiting 2 months for psa on top of all the fees killing customers is insane , you want fast turn around for least amount of money possible in case players get hurt or play poorly. SGC checks all the boxes, honestly hope someone buys beckett and turns that sinking ship around because if beckett had SGC turn around time and fees id be grading with them aswell but they got allot of work to do in order to overcome the problems within that company. Great over view and video yall! -- Nate @Cardcitysports
Nate, thanks for watching the video and commenting! I agree, there are definitely some upside to SGC vs PSA especially with the lower cost to grade and faster turnaround times. I can’t speak on the fairness of SGC vs PSA but I’d assume in both case scenarios there could be some funny business going on. I’m just hoping PSA / SGC follow the TAG grading approach and grade more fairly using machines and technology vs the human eye. This also would allow for easy transparency as the grading companies could upload the photos and call out any deductions on your grading sub.
@@CardboardKings314 I agree , i really hope everyone just moves to machine ai grading and take the human eye and emotions out of the equation. Itll not only level out prices and make turn around times faster, but itll also make for far less 10 grades i think overall and make it so 9 grades are worth more like they were back in the day when 8s were considered the same price as a raw variant. This whole 10 or bust 9 grades are same value as raw copies for big names is ridiculous. Great video , look forward to seeing more soon!
Do you think it’s possible you’re doing some wishful thinking with your pre-grading? Just a thought. Also some of these seem like they’re very tough to grade, so that’s definitely a factor
Thanks for the comment! I do agree maybe there’s a factor of some of these being tough to grade (Panini quality is notoriously bad). But we went through the same pre-grade process as we generally do - in the past 7 submissions we’ve averaged roughly 60% to 70% gem rate so I think there definitely is a factor of having a particularly tough grader for this sub ☹️
I imagine the PSA grading process involves the grader walking over to a dart 🎯 board, he then blindfolds himself and throws a dart at the board and whatever number he hits is the PSA grade he gives the card.
It does seem that way at times 😂. We usually have a lot more success as we scrutinize the cards greatly before sending to grading. We’re uploading a video detailing our steps for pre-grading so stay tuned!
@@CardboardKings314 I understand the need and want of grading but I also think it’s an unregulated business with to much potential for manipulation of the market. There isn’t enough transparency in grading, seriously what’s to keep a grader for any company from shady conduct. Let’s say you or I work for any of these companies that offer grading services, and we ourselves also collected and invested in cards does that not give us an unfair inside job opportunity to control the amount of 10’s given in grading. Are graders allowed to also collect? Should they be allowed to collect?
@@O.TownMagicI’ve thought about that very same thing from time to time. You’re right I don’t think there’s anything really stopping a grader from going rogue and that’s sad. I know PSA introduced grader notes on the higher tier services so hopefully they roll that out across the board so we can at least have some transparency!
@@O.TownMagic wow that’s actually a very good thought. I’ve never thought about that, but that makes me mad for sure, but I wouldn’t even be surprised. I bet there is also corruption between grading companies and Topps/Panini
@@Gerber1415 can even take this possibility of corruption much further. What level of security does a grading company offer its clients? Are there entry and exit policies and security checks for employees that grade the cards? What’s to stop an employee from swapping out a non serial numbered card that a customer submits through the mail for a card he walks into the grading facility with in his pocket? A CJ Stroud Silver Prizm rookie is probably a very popular card to grade, the difference between a 9 or 10 is hundreds of dollars. A Patrick Mahomes Prizm Silver 9 or 10 is thousands of dollars difference. How do we know some rogue grader couldn’t be walking in with a raw card in his lunch box of lesser quality and swap it out for the gem copy sending the customer back the PSA 9 and having his buddy submit the ungraded gem to receive its PSA 10. This rabbit hole goes deep lol.
What is a pre grade?
We look over each card that we send prior to sending it and assign a grade that we think the card will get. We will be having a video going over this here in the near future!
Gotta love finding those cards you had stored away from being a kid!
Yeah it was a cool experience. Made it even cooler because we thought it was going to get an 8!
I dont understand
PSA card grading company recently changed the material that they use in their slabs. If you don’t get the grade you want, it’s common practice to crack open the slab and pull the card out to sell raw or re-submit. With the new slab material, we really struggled to get this Gunnar Henderson card out! 😂
Nice submission , great content. I subbed and liked the video .
