I moved from East Mids to Aus in 2009. Our new Atto 3 is 24kGBP brand new for top spec in comparison (20k for new Essential spec released this week). We have solar so home charging will be really cheap during the day using a portable charger. Cost of living is expensive here but I dread to think what it is like over there now….

Heard conflicting information about charging to 100%. View was to charge to max every couple of months. Interesting to know where you got that information buddy as I would prefer to go that way anyway 👍

had my MG4 trophy for 10 months now 6.5K miles and love it and yes some niggles as you pointed out but was exactly what I wanted and for the ER the BHP at 242 is just way above its now price price of around 28K

My friend has one and she takes me to different places short and long distance my problem is seat belt fastening in the passenger seat I do have big hands a struggle fastening passenger seat belt ,,anyone else have similar problem

1.7.1. Routplaning ok. But the app update in jan 2025 is strange, the km numbers goes backwards when charging .. Suddenly it's finished at 42.0 km.. but during charging it can go backwards.. it seems like you are charging the electric Grid and not the cars battery. Another app update is necessary for the communication between the car and the App. About the 1.7.1. the voice assistant goes in during conversation in the car, so that function about listening to commands is necessary to have an option to close it..

Hope you r well . Update ownership 7 mths, 7000 miles . Wish list in no particular order but at 39 000 pounds new Should be better heat pump as during this freeze spell clearing screen/windows and warming up interior takes too long and virtually halves the range while trying to get optimum comfort heat inside. Should have had heated steering wheel due to amount of range eaten up by heater system . A rear back seat incline for relaxing rear passengers. A double sized screen Infront of steering wheel , far far too small. Twangy gimmick door pocket strings at front are pointless , okay for grandkids in rear . Better or easier touchscreen , this one's a real budget glass and auto wipers please. Better quality cameras and software. Touch Screen again is a bit cheapish and better software so auto voice control understands the user better and can execute more functions. Wing Mirrors when entering on motorway or duel carriageway don't give enough vision too see fast approaching cars , had 2 close unexpected encounters, not good. Also (it may not be common) have squeaking brakes since late October when in slowing down in traffic queue 😢. While in for a recall replacement part I mentioned it but they said they didn't hear the irritating squeals ?? Strange or they don't really test drive in traffic . With a dark head lining especially in autumn winter and after dark why didn't byd make the push buttons above flimsy framed drivers rear mirror in bright colours or chrome as I have already by accident rang emergency services twice , so don't now bother to use those buttons. Please reply . Ps still home charge as public ones are a rip off and too much fluffing about with codes phone apps ect ect . I am not a techie.

Car dealers in Ireland say relying on fast charging will negatively affect the age and performance of the byd battery cells. What is your experience with the fast charging? Thank you for the great video

Mine the opposite, my heating has completely stopped. Just blowing cold air, whatever the settings are. Btw it's snowing here atm my car is freezing

I've had mine for 10 months now & constantly confused by how different my infotainment is. I've just had the latest upgrade. for instance. I see you can turn the heated seats on from your home screen. I cant do that & need to go into the aircon screen & select from there. I cant get Android auto, Why?

Is the dirt optional or does it come as standard ?

We need to get away from the idea you have to charge at home / office. We have never had petrol stations at home but manage okay although 300 miles minimum per charge would be the least you could probably get away with, ideally 400 to 500 miles and you would be alright without home charging. The biggest problem we find with on-route chargers is the rip off prices, only Tesla seem to be near the mark with 39 pence a unit. I would like to see a kilowatt at around the 21 pence per unit, that's still 3 times the unit cost to the suppliers so more realistic. Snag is the private businesses who own our national grid set the price of electricity against the price of gas which as we all know is astronomically high, we need to decouple electricity from gas but that's not going to happen in the near future, not when there are huge, obscene profits to be made.

Our Atto 3 (in Thailand) also has reached 12 months and 30,000 km so far. I very like the space and performance, but less the too soft suspension and the whitish interior. My daily driver is a BYD Dolphin (16 months, 40,000 km). BYD improves the infotainment system constantly and now it is quite good. We got a firmware update and now with Gbox we can install a lot of Android apps. I am not so happy with ADAS which can be very annoying and I and to deactivate some of the features. Also the headlights are not so good - compared to our former Mazda CX-5. The Chinese tires are quite good. BYD Thailand now has changed to Continental tires.

Hi Sean, had my atto 3 since June and had no issues with it until the colder months came… the heating system is useless! It takes an absolute age to get even remotely warm. I’ve got it booked in to have a look at as it seems like something isn’t right to me, just wondered if you have experienced anything similar? Cheers

The Ultra isn't "more powerful" than the Plus. The twin-motor version IS however more powerful.

I haven't seen many people show such a deep dive so thanks for that. With the split option, can you split the screen so you can have music on one side and the maps on the other? Also the karaoke app with the Christmas theme is a nice touch. Did you need the mic for it?

My byd atto3 is not heating up properly. I have to put it up very high. Then it gets too hot soon I put it down car gose fog up.

Tesla did the right thing from the start by investing millions in the charging structure and making the system seamless as a plug-and-go method. Then, when people could see that they could charge on road trips, they were confident to buy Teslas. Trying the chicken/egg process the other way around was always doomed to fail. Waiting to put infrastructure in once enough cars were sold was just woolly thinking. However, there is now evidence that the situation in the UK will get better soon. You actually don't need to use your key to open the car if you have your keys in a pocket. Just press the button on the car door handle . The same is for the boot.

Congratulations! 🎉 Your videos are very good and useful. If you have any update regarding the heat pump, that would be great. It is cold now, what I found today, you need to switch AC on and off to make it work, but it doesn't work every time. Maybe we don't know something ...

I have one in Australia - the ac isn't the best but it's definitely better than deacribed here. Sounds like yours has a problem? Mine definitely cools when stationary - I start it remotely and it cools the car down quite effectively, takes a bit longer than other cars I have had but it does work...

Do you know how to change the map from Oslo to UK? The sat nav changed on its own when I was driving this evening
