That's correct the dealer will suggest replacement of the entire valve body. We have been able to source the solenoids so are able to do a repair on the valve body at a significant cost saving :)

@@keithmiles7086 We are not a part stockist we just source the TCC & AWD solenoids and replace them when we have the vehicle here doing the repair on the valve body

So what was the issue

@@kingbreather1982 I had to replace the entire valve body. The Ohm readings on the solenoids were correct, but there must have been a clog somewhere. I had a mechanic replace it with a $600 new unit I purchased on the internet. They had the tool to initialize it. It still doesn't make sense that a valve body, that is just solenoids, that are either open or closed need to be calibrated. Maybe I should have bit the bullet and replaced it myself and see if the re-calibration is really needed.

If you have a scan tool and get the code P2764, its your lock up solenoid. Even though yours tested in the correct ohms range, changing this on its own would have likely fixed the issue. Either that or it was a wiring harness issue but not likely.

@@pitviper7924 Its not needed. Car will adapt itself over a short period. Having said that, its literally a 3 minute procedure with the car jacked up in the air.

The cost of the valve body upgrade is $1560 this includes all parts & labour and a transmission service. The work is completed on the same day & we suggest booking two weeks ahead. Feel free to give us a call if you would like to talk to one of our technicians 5443 4444
