Feel Good Disc Golf Day At Ditto Farms
What’s the best way to get better, started a month ago
Love the Reko. Great review.
I'll give u a subscribe now that I know I'm not alone on this I've got three in the bag all different weight and all throw different but I still love my trail's.. great video keep up the good work..
you are so good! thanks for the vid
Great video Brook! So cool to see your long form videos too!!! ❤ keep it up!
Thanks so much!! I’m a bit of a workaholic and an over achiever so I am probably doing too much.
@ haha, I feeeeel that 😅 excited to watch more of your stuff!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Congratulations🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Where did it go?
The detour!!
What a great collection of discs. That CryZtal Passion is particularly sweet. I wish you had a less windy day. Thanks for the video.
Fission Defy
Aah, this is enlightening. I was starting to think I had more off-axis torque than my noobie friend, as we both throw the Trail but his goes dead straight and mine turns and burns.
Just going to buy a premium s blend pd and know what I’m getting I feel it’s similar slot if they are going to be flippy
I have the neon yellow neutron in what appears to be a softer kind of neutron plastic and it’s a roller. Got it to replace my turquoise one and I’m so sad since I lost my turquoise one I want a refund lol.
My form is a mess right now, so I thought that might be the issue with my Trail. I haven't been impressed with it at all. I have improved recently, so maybe I need to give it another try.
I honestly believe it's just an MVP thing, sucks when you need to replace a favorite disc...
Glad to see this video, my trail was very beefy, even a friend of mine with faster arm speed thought it was very stable.
Mine's a white 168g, I'd say it's a 10, 5.5, -2.5/3, 1
Wow! I am so glad someone did this! Brook thank you so much! They will receive this feedback well I truly believe!
when you throw your green "flippy one" im not sure what your target line was, i think its safe to assume the basket straight ahead? (12 oclock) but if you slow down the footage,,,, you actually release it towards 2.. it actually flew pretty straight.. that being said i only have 2 and they both were different runs and fly about the same.. (i dont thow my backup much)
I picked up a 169g bright green Trail and it's a meat hook. Completely unusable at my elevation and left my bag after a few days. Is a fairly common experience with MVP discs for me. The only one I have of theirs that is *less* overstable than expected is the 157g Wynn Dragon Dimension. Awesome disc.
Weird......I hope MVP is looking into this.
My orange blank 173 is a PD. I thought I was nuts because the internet was flipping out about how good they are. Then I bought a blue 173 stock stamp and it’s what I wanted the trail to be.
i was wishing for a more flippy trail but i have a very overstabile one,
I’ll trade you lol
Great video. I was hyped to try the Trail, but I really like lower weight discs. I bought a 165g Pink Trail and for my older arm, it was TOO stable. I bought another White version and it flips up to flat and glides nicely. Had one of my longer throws with it. Hope they iron out the quality and give us a Fission version soon. Thanks for the video!
What about weights on the discs are they all comparable
All the discs are 170-173
I have three trails. The first two (max weight) are meat hooks. The third is a 157 g, and it's a bomber. Slight turn and reliable fade. But now that you pointed out the parting line situation , I'm going to revisit the max weight discs and compare . Almost forgot the 157g disc is fission .
I have been so confused because my trail is insanely understable. Like almost -3 understable. So crazy
My turquoise one was true to numbers but my neon yellow one is no good like stupid flippy which sucks I wanted the control slot.
The early runs were a bit flatter a beefy. The most recent runs have been more domey and US. At elevation they are all a bit more beefy than the numbers though.
Dang that stinks I lost my first run trail I want a stable one if anyone wants to trade for a neon yellow under table one!
Thank you. I thought it was entirely a problem of my noodle arm. I'm sure I still am somewhat under the power these are ideally meant for, but I don't have these kinds of problems with other 10-speeds like the Gorgon and the Vulture - the (10 | 5 | 0 | 2) Vulture flies pretty true to that, and my Trail actually flies slightly beefier than the Vulture. Might yet roll the dice on another, but absent any brick and mortar options in my area, I'm kind of reluctant to buy online without comparing it in hand. Especially when I've already got a pretty good range of different stabilities of 10 | 5's with the beefy Trail, the Vulture, and Gorgons in glow / star / Gstar.
I’ve a plasma mayhem it’s a bit heavier 174g. It’s pretty straight I love it for my fh and bh throws. It does cut right towards the end.
Glad to know I’m not crazy then, lol. Mine is a bit more OS than I expected. Somewhat resolved by bouncing it off a road at full power. :) Good work.
🎉🎉good job 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for the review. Don’t know much about the servo. However, I have a cosmic neutron crave that is super flat and quite OS. You should check one out if you haven’t. Actually have a new eclipse that is pretty domy and pretty straight. Interesting to see more dome on their more recent discs. Keep up the good work.
I got an eclipse crave that’s super flat and very overstable. There will be a more accurate review coming shortly. I think the crave I got was a resistor with the wrong stamp 😂
For whatever reason, i never really liked using putters to putt. I'd normally go with my Mid Range Disc which was a Shark, I think by Inova. If not, some other company, but it was definitely a Shark. I loved that disc for most of my 2nd shots & putts. It flew so straight and perfect. WIsh i still had all my old discs.
Great video Brook 😎🙂 All in all, it wasn't a terrible score. Like you said, the weather definitely wasn't ideal. Especially for your 1st time playing. Have you ever been to any courses in Wisconsin?
Unfortunately no. I really haven’t played much in the Midwest yet
Thanks for the video Brook. I haven't played a round in years, but it used to be one of my favorite things to do. I'm definitely gonna get out this year after winter passes. Watching your videos has definitely sparked my interest again. Keep it up 🙂
Do you have any fission's?
Unfortunately no
Good video Brook. Can you say more about what makes the proper time? Your form looks awesome! I'd also be interested in hearing you talk about your throwing arm and placement. I tend to struggle getting the disc close into the body to hit the power pocket.
Absolutely, I just filmed a Formwork video that will be out in the beginning of December that focuses on this point of release and when to accelerate
Quit, please.
Quit what? If you don’t like my channel, you don’t have to watch
Cry more Danielle
Not sure what the green MVP disc is, but you're a sniper with it
I think you’re seeing the MVP Trail. It’s the flippiest one I’ve thrown so it’s really easy to control and flip up
Hello! Thanks for bringing us along.
Destination fo sho. One in five of my wish list
Love neo

First! 🎉
Just for reference to anyone looking for one of these. This is the Prism Proton Hex that was part of this years OTB drop. These 166-168 grams fly very similar to the 170-175 neutron Hex. These things are absolute money! I enjoyed your video. I look forward to seeing if this stays in your bag.
Awesome…put both hex’s on some great lines…I have a gyropalosa…think it’s neutron.. it flies like you reviewed…nice work
This video was recommended after watching your Fission Pyro short - good job algorithm! I'm an avid Trance thrower, always bag two and rotate them frequently. I have 4 of the OTB Proton and 4 of the OTB Neutron. None of the Circuit Challenge ones, but I just ordered two to test it against my 8, because of this video. My hypothesis is that the one you are throwing, in this video, is a factory second BECAUSE of the dome. That said, the circuit challenge one you are throwing sounds closer to the PDGA specifications than the OTB versions. My thoughts on the Trance are that it is not the -2 turn and 1 fade as advertised. But instead is -1 turn and 2 fade. Also believe that it is the Axiom tooled MVP Cypher (that they share the same core). PDGA specifications list the Trance as 21.0cm (mine are 21.1cm), height 1.8cm (all of mine are 1.5cm) and thickness 1.9cm (mine are ~1.82cm). If my Trances were unmarked and I measured them all, they match to Cypher specs more than they do the Trance specs. Look up the PDGA approval for the Cypher and compare its shape to your OTB Trance. Take this all with a grain of salt, but Infinite discs lists the Cypher as a -1 turn with 2 fade - coincidence? Lastly, the disc that the Trance more reminds me of is actually a Discraft Passion. While the PD, Thunderbird, etc. may share that reliable fade, they feel very different in the hand. I will report back on the circuit challenge version once they arrive and I can test.
I was actually going to test it against a passion, I just completely forgot to put one in my car. It would be interesting if the MVP to axiom switch was real
@ the two circuit Trance arrived today and I have some observations: the circuit felt deeper in my hand so I immediately flipped it over and put it on a table next to the OTB. The circuit version has way more dome and is very noticeable while they’re upside down. The second thing I noticed is the font of the word “Trance” on the rim. It does not match the 2023/2024 OTB lettering. Almost looks like the font is bolded. I’ll report on the flight when I have time to test.
I keep hearing overstable and understable concerning discs. What does each one mean and how do you know which disc is what? Enjoy your videos. Maybe you have gone over that before and you have a video on that. Thanks.
Overstable means it wants to lean into the hyzer while Understable means it wants to fight the hyzer or fade and stay straight.
Been wanting to play this course so bad! Thanks for the vid.
