I've devoted 19 years of my life to this industry, serving as a Tour/Production Manager and Front of House/Monitor Engineer for various tours and events. My passion lies in helping others realize their dreams.
In my view, this profession is a delicate balance of 50% personality and 50% technical skills. Beyond dedication to the job, maintaining a positive attitude, being hardworking, and collaborating seamlessly within a team are paramount.
A self-defined multitasker, I entered the industry at 17 and accumulated diverse experiences with various artists over the years. You might be wondering how one person can excel in so many roles. The simple answer: I've dedicated my entire life to this job, never veering from this path.

You're a wizard, being able to focus on all those moving parts, Well Done. I know how important it is when i"m creating stage plots and patch sheets for patch techs and FOH Engineers. Well done my friend. Love your channel.
thank you so much Kenny
This guy takes cable/gear management to an art form, wish i could be this tight
Thank you
Always Inspiring watching your videos
I use an airport express for my router...you can lock it down so other devices can't see the network. Like you said tho it doesn't have the best range.
Bro! Quick question , what gain are you running the headsets on and if you were not running it over Dante, what would your analog gain be? Thanks
hello there, thanks for watching the video. When I use shure mic, I normally have the gain of the the receiver to -10dB and in line mode, and I run the Gain on the desk around 12dB but most of the time it depends from speaker to speaker.
Hi! Could u please send a link to your video about multitrack recording with sq5 to protools. Thanks!
Audio engineer
should I say Sound Engineer?
21:56 i can understand you dont have a jack cable, but no power cable? that's ridiculus
I believe the keyboard belonged to the backline company working at the festival, so we decided to use our own cables to avoid mixing them up.
Elite cable wrapping skills.
THX
How did you multi record live
Using the usb out from the desk. If you look on my channel I made a video about it
Never turn on microphone receivers without connecting antenna, you could blow it up...ask me how I know
Great video. Many thanks, Domenico
The cable management tho
I'm getting my new SQ5 tomorrow. I'm from Philippines. Thanks for these videos!

Good grief !!! Serious question: How much equipment is on that stage... $500K? More? $1M??? You probably have $5K just sitting in your mic cab, and there's a LOT of really hi-end pro equipment flashing thru the video - we run sound from stage and I had heartburn just upgrading to a $1000 mixer LOL !!!
Hope one day all these audio equipment can be fully digitized. No more messy wiring, no more ground noise, no more buzz or fuzz, no more undergaining or clipping issues, no more trip hazard. Everything is part of a simple, full-redundant, high-speed, self-healing loop network based on Ethernet cables or optical fibers.
Beautiful ❤Give me…I’ll send you my address 😅😅
This was for a show with 12 musician
Great song, what is it for

I love watching other people work.
Hey all, im 16 and wqnt to know, hiw do i start sound engineering company
Can I program in this way for example a Delay from waves rack to the fader to control the feedback? or it is not us customisable for SQ
I think yeah you could use the same principle for Waves, I'm not a big user of it so don't have much knowledge unfortunately
I need a spreadsheet like that, and tips or templates that are really good to use?

How to get track from reaper to sq7 mixer and how to route using in windows

Everyone getting stereo or mono monitor mix? Also, do you use and ambience/audience mics?
Hello thanks for watching, on this we had on mono mix, only drum and ket on wired stereo mix. I don't use any audience mics
@@imdomtrotta Nice, it sounded very balanced. Was the aux signal processed (post EQ/comp) or pre?

Trying to watch this from a Head mounted camera is not good to watch !
The camera was strapped to my chest. If you have suggestions for where to put the camera, feel free to write them in the comments.
I appreciate the workflow. The idea of isolating the talkback between monitors is super cool!
thanks
How do I take direct outs via usb and also LR mix via usb? Should I patch the direct outs to each channel and take the mix out for LR and route accordingly in reaper?
It would be great to get more videos like this! Do you put your GoPro on your head or chest?
Chest most of the time
Great video, I think I have learned something but I have a question: I have very little experience in corporate shows, so probably my thinking is wrong, but wouldn't it be better to change the insert position of the automixer and the 5045, so that the 5045 "gates away" all the background noise and only the voice runs into the automixer. The other way around, some frequencys could trigger the automixer and then get cut by the 5045, so that some of the automixer gain gets wasted.
So if I insert the automix before the fader unfortunately every mic will effect the automix even if not live, as I have only one way to choose where to put the insert point I prefer to put that after the fader so I only have the automix working with the mic that are live, the 5045 in my case it's just there to help a bit the work that auto mix is already doing. Thanks for your comments, I'm always happy to hear other opinions and if any other sound op has done something different I will be more than happy to try.
love this content lol, almost theraputic
Thanks
